Prospect Info: 2024-25 Ducks Prospects

Means rights expired, doesn't it?

He'll have to be signed to an ELC by June 1st, or his rights will expire. Signing in the Czech league doesn't necessarily mean he isn't getting a contract with the Ducks. Donicio had committed to playing in Switzerland prior to signing his ELC - changed his plan to join the Gulls and then ended up back home anyway. This could just be Port securing his "back up plan", although with the timing and him being a fringe signing candidate, it's easy to assume this means his rights will be left to expire.

It was always going to be a borderline decision as to whether the Ducks would sign Port or let his rights expire. While he did make some strides in the last couple of years, his potential for an NHL future looks to be slim and none at this point. He could be one of those guys who plays in Europe for 5 years and then comes over after that. But right now he's just not signing material IMO.

Bad penalty to take for Sennecke

London scores as sennecke gets out of the box
(cowan has been fantastic for london 1 goal 3 assists so far)

Didn’t they get upset about that pick? Every time I’ve seen him he seems like he’ll be quite the player in the pros.
Ya the cowan pick was a bit off the board at the time of the pick.

Hes a fun player to watch, another guy that seems to turn up in the playoffs

84 points in 56 career playoff games in the OHL
8 points in 4 memorial cup games
Tho he has only been okay in the WJ's

Cowan ices it with his 2nd goal and 5th point.

I havnt been overly impressed with Barlow.

I have liked Owen Griffins game tho... hes prob a late 3rd or 4th round pick... but maybe raising with his playoff perfomrance.

Honestly london just looks like the better overall team, even tho Oshawa split the london home games, i still think london wins this in 5 or 6.

Watched about half Sennecke’s second game - mind you the only time watching him - but he seemed quite passive, especially in the defensive zone. Seems to just stand around and wait around for a cherry pick. Just very passive. Think he was on the ice for 3 or 4 goals against I think. On the offensive zone, definitely getting Corey Perry vibes, just always going straight around the net and uses his size. Feels like one of the few guys that would be able to play on the boards and cycle well. Still needs some time for sure though.
