I think the only way he signs with us is if it's on a one-way deal with some internal agreement for an out clause if they send him to the AHL. I hope we can convince him to sign if we guarantee games after the trade deadline, similar to college signings. Mind as well see what he can do. Only concern is that his Russian team can definitely compensate him more...What are the chances that Galimov ever plays a game for the Ducks?
If he can get a similar contract in the KHL and is already comfortable living and playing there, I don't really see why he would want to risk coming to a dumpster fire like Anaheim when he's finally having some success.
There's no way he comes here on an AHL contract.
