Färjestad just won 4-0 vs Växjö. Solberg demolished a guy, but at least the ref thought the other guy provoked him, so both got 2 mins in the penalty box. Solberg gets more and more time on the ice (11:13). That's good.

Btw...this is interesting about the development plan. Looking at Leo Carlsson's path, does this mean Solberg could play for the Ducks next season already?

Carlsson's dev plan isn't like Solbeg's dev plan. Carlsson was gifted 1st line minutes, Solberg is being developed is a more gradual fashion and working his way back up the lineup after losing trust of the team.

Just me, but I wouldn't put Solberg in the NHL next year if his SHL team is identifying that Solberg is still a dev project. There's clog of LD's at the NHL level, with the top-4 LD spots that could be taken by three youths: Minty, Zell, and LaCombe. I don't like our AHL coaching, mgmt, nor development. The best future for Solberg is to stay in the SHL another season, take steps to dominate the SHL, and then make his way over to NA. I would like Solberg to develop into a top-4, two-way d-man than a 3rd pairing who just hits.

🔥 En Fuego Club 🔥
  • C Terrance
  • C Procyszyn
  • RW Sennecke

🌠 Honor Roll Club 🌠
  • RW Massé
  • LD T. Smith
Tarin Smith is the second highest scoring d-man in the WHL. Procyszyn is tied for 6th in the OHL for goal scoring and Sennecke is tied at 11th in goal scoring in the OHL.

Massé finally returned from his injury. Not bad production since his return. We should expect him to ramp up his production the more he fine tunes himself to playing again.

Terrance is beyond Fire right now. He's the Rocket Man!

  • Terrance production through the season
    • Oct 8-14: 0.50 ppg, +1 rating
    • Oct 15-28: 0.17 ppg, -4 rating
    • Oct 29-Nov 10: 1.20 ppg, +7 rating
    • Nov 11-25: 1.83 ppg, +4 rating

Honorable Mention
  • RD Moore for scoring.
Everything kinda slowed down for the NCAA because usually the teams play two games per weekend. RD Francis has been in and out of the lineup, which is probably due more to health reasons. As long as the team allows him to have the goal of playing on the ice, then that's a huge win for Francis' psyche.

🌠 Honor Roll Club 🌠

  • Pettersson (Sweden Jr)

Notes:
- Galimov's scoring has come down after a scorching hot start.
- Pettersson has bounced up and down three leagues. On EP, they currently list him on loan to Östersunds (HA).
- Solberg lost the trust of his coaches when he went overboard on a knocked down player. He has slowing been earning time to play recently.
- Uljanskis is the 5th highest scoring D-man in the J20 (Sweden Jr) league.
- Clara has been phased out of playing games for the past two weeks. No idea if he's injured, but it is a concern that he is not getting any game play if he is healthy.

🔥 En Fuego Club 🔥
  • RW Colangelo

🌠 Honor Roll Club 🌠
  • RW Pastujov (ECHL)

Honorable Mention
  • LD Dionicio
  • LW Regenda

- Notes

RD Helleson and RW Colangelo were recently called up to the NHL club. Helleson is playing better at the NHL level. This brings into question about the development process at the AHL level. In the AHL level, Helleson was being groomed into this all-around top-4D and he didn't progress. At the NHL level, he's told to just simplify his game as a 3rd pairing D and not to do too much. It has worked. For Colangelo, the puck follows him at the NHL level too in a 4th line role. For a 4th liner in 2 NHL games, Colangelo has already notched 7 SOG's. Anaheim should considering moving him up in the lineup b/c he will actually shoot the puck more.

The ECHL guys, Pastujov and Wiebe, have become Tulsa's top-2 scorers before being recalled to the AHL. Pastujov has given the Gulls some goal scoring due to Colangelo's call-up.

San Diego Gulls are the 9th best team in the Pacific Division with a 4-11-1-1 record. Their last 10 games record is 2-6-1-1, with a 5-game losing streak. They are without their top-2 scorers in Harkins and Colangelo, both in the NHL.

Another win today for Färjestad, 4-2 vs Malmö. Clara finally got a game, and he was great. Solberg played a solid game too, +2 rating and 09:34 on the ice. He's also a pretty good goalie, Clara will buy him a beer -)

It was a cool play and all and hate to sound negative, but it looks like he was puck watching and let his man come right into slot which allowed them to set up a good scoring chance. Of course still young and learning though.

Not puck watching at all, he had tied up the forward but couldn't keep going after him otherwise he'd have run over his goaltender. Staying in the middle is the smart play, especially as the forward was never scoring with his back to the net and his partner had been beaten by the other forward.

Difference of opinion I suppose. On second camera angle at around 13 second mark he’s looking left while allowing forward to get past him and only turns around below the hash mark and in front of goalie, a decent reaction play admittedly, but still allows a tip play right in front and a second opportunity as well. I guess I would rather see anticipation rather than reaction is what it comes down to. Keep player in front starting above hash mark, keep to outside, so that he doesn’t get to slot to begin with and prevent the pass or make it least a bad option. Would at least prevent a second opportunity. As long as you’re simply fighting for position and not straight cross checking or something, you can avoid an interference call.
