I can't remember the rules, but can we bring Solberg over to play with the Gulls? Getting benched every night can't be good for his development.
He's only on loan there, the Ducks can bring him home at any time. I believe this is also a part of the contract with Färjestad.

But Färjestad's coach continues to say it's part of Solberg's development, full practice but less games for a while because of his young age. Senior players are ahead of him, and now all injured guys are back. So it's not because they think Solberg is a bad player, and they will not send him to a lower league like the J20.

That being said, personally I think the AHL would be a perfect league for Solberg, fits his style much better. There he can deliver big hits and fight as much as he wants while playing well as an offensive d-man.

Appreciate the insight!

I wonder what happened in North Bay, as most of their top scorers remain on the team but aren't producing like they did. Procyszyn is actually leading the team in scoring, which is quite the leap from a 3rd line center last year.

No news of Massé yet? He should be close to returning.

They traded Wakely and then Romani has been hurt for most of the year (only played six games). Those were there two leading scorers last year. But the third top guy remains (Van Steensel) and Procyczyn is outproducing him thus far.

Yea, I read their forums about missing the centers, it's a lot about everyone just having tougher assignments compared to last year. But then again so it should go in juniors. The guys should have taken steps, so we'll see when they have their lineup together.

Latest: Solberg has asked for a change because he wants to play hockey. He does not want to wait for a senior player to be out. Färjestad considers a loan to a team in the Allsvenskan league, 2nd level below SHL. Rumors say Vimmerby HC could be his destination.

My opinion: This Sweden plan doesn't work for Solberg. The Ducks should bring him home and let him play for the Gulls. Allsvenskan is a step in the wrong direction. Btw...it was Solberg who wanted to play in Sweden.

I don't like this trend. His style of hockey doesn't seem suited for the SHL
