A man of fine taste…….. Norwegian wood, was it a well scene ??? That was unlike anything I’ve ever read. I’ve got the wind up bird chronicles and a couple of his short story books on my shelf / in the shame pile since I have not read them. I’ve read the short stories men without women too.

I could go on for a while, but a touch off subject 😂
Check out 1Q84 if you haven't yet. Amazing. Kafka on the Shore is also great. You will love Wind Up Bird Chronicles when you get to it.

I am going to start with a disclaimer: I am not a fanboy of Cronin, he struggled playing on the strengths of the team in his early tenure. We should of been more offensive minded from the get-go and instilling the defensive habits first. I think I understand the mindset that Beeker/Cronin have though. They want to gear up for play off hockey, just look at the roster that Verbeek has drafted. Big guys that can skate. I think that the "structure" that is being developed is to teach the kids more of a competitive approach in today's NHL (reliability in structure/defense). I was losing my shit when we weren't having any offensive zone presence or even on the rush! That seemed to be because of the learning curve of playing proper hockey. The last 15 games have been MUCH better.

I hate to say it. We brought a developmental coach into the NHL for the sake of teaching.

Just read at the Ducks Hockey News that it was Anaheim who prompted the move of Clara away from the SHL (Farjestad) from a Farjestad article.

The Anaheim Ducks own the rights to Damian Clara, and he has been on loan to Färjestad BK during the season. A contract that is now being terminated.
– We would like to thank Damian for his time with us. From the time he joined our junior team until now, he has been a valued person in the club who has worked hard to become a good goalkeeper and has taken great steps in the meantime. We have now been informed that Anaheim, who owns Damian's rights, believes that this is best for his development as he has not achieved the results that we and they had hoped for during the year and we wish him good luck in his continued career, says Rickard Wallin.

Didn't know this but the Samuelis took over management operations at the Grove and they're giving us the first opportunity to be asked added onto the events. Could use more hours so I appreciate it

Huh. I remember the Angels owner trying to buy that real estate the Grove is on a few/couple of years ago. I watched the Fab Four Beatles tribute band there a while back and it's a good venue. Kinda felt sad if he did buy it b/c I think he was gonna demolish it make build something else on it or that would be the site of the new Angels stadium.

according to their website: About Us | Grove of Anaheim

"Built in 1998, The Grove of Anaheim began as Tinseltown Studios, an awards show-themed venue. A year later, it transformed into a premier concert space known as The Sun Theatre before adopting its current name in 2001. In 2002, the City of Anaheim acquired the venue, and in 2025, OCVIBE proudly took over as its manager, operator, and booker."

So much like Honda Center itself, the city owns it and OCVibe runs the venue. Since the city owns it, I doubt they will sell the land to be demolished. If they were interested in that, they would have already done so IMO.

Those guys are terrific! I've seen them a couple of times. They usually play at the OC Fair every summer. Well worth the price of admission if you like the Beatles.

Not true. Same guy has been playing Paul for 20 years. He’s still alive. Andy Sarraf.
Yeah sorry I was making a joke because the rumor that Paul McCartney died during peak Beatles and they’ve been using Faul (fake Paul) for years. Just poking fun at that theory, like their cover band is so popular that’s in the lore of the cover band too.

It’s true that years ago Ardy did teach himself to play left handed because he started impersonating Sir Paul many years ago.
