Of course. If you watch Celebrini only... Btw out of 3 points Celebrini scored vs Kings one was a secondary assist that didn't count. Another one was a PP goal that didn't count. So he scored the same 1 goal as Michkov.
Agreed. But he still has a 5-2 lead over Michkov in points that actually count (5-on-5 primary points) so we’re happy with it.

It’s bizarre to me that people think this is actually what happened and not that MM very likely told teams not to draft him in the pre draft interviews
I know there's rumours everywhere but I doubt he actually told them not to draft him. Likely just didn't give off much interest, which sways teams away considering this pick means ALOT after a years worth of losing, low attendance games, etc. Look at it in Grier's perspective, it was his first real draft as GM, the team was in shambles, Michkov wasn't interested to interview much, was under contract for a few more years at the time, and Smith was still sitting there after having a great U18 season. Obviously Michkov's talent is straight unquestionable, and with retrospect the contract didn't play out, but atleast on draft day that's how a few teams viewed it.

With all that said, it's going to be fun to compare Michkov, Celebrini, and even Bedard moving forward. 3 amazing talents. I'm happy my team has Celebrini, and I'm sure Flyers/Hawks fans feel the same with their guys.

Where would you guys rank Edvinsson so far if he was eligible? He would be if he played one less game last year.
Hard to say. As unfair as it is he probably wouldn't really be in the convo given the offense shown from some of the other guys, and the unreal play from Wolf. It's hard for defenseman to win a lot of awards, and as he's not really an offensive guy with this rookie class looking very strong, he'd be on the outside looking in.

Only the Coyotes . The rest flubbed it all on their own . But sure try to give excuses to the rest . Being Russian / the KHL contract was certainly a factor though

Michkov should have had 2 tap-ins for primary assists last night. He's lost at least 5 primary assists this season due to his teammates shitting the bed.

Ahh, PP points don’t count.

Did you watch the game today? Or do you watch Michkov regularly?
I've seen 4-5 Flyers games this season. Michkov's been excellent at 3v3.

I don't even get this comment. I'm not saying Michkov is playing bad or good. No value judgement. It was just a statement of fact. Or am I wrong and does he have actually have like 15 5v5 points?

I think if Carolina wasn't as deep as they are, Jackson Blake would at least be in the conversation. He's played really well on the 4th line and he has a nose for the net. He's also done well on the second power play getting a goal and an assist.

Most kids need time before they come over. So, 2 years post draft is normal for most guys drafted from pick 5 onwards before they make the NHL. Seider, Boldy in 2019 for example. Issue with KHL and kids is that those clubs lean heavily on veterans so ice time can be a big concern in terms of development.
But, NHL draft, the club won't have much control until that player is playing in their system, either in the ECHL, AHL, or NHL.

I hear ya but guys who go 1 st or 2 nd ( like his talent / pre draft talk suggested ) typically debut much quicker than that . Michkov absolutely could’ve played last season and performed similarly imo . Boldy and Seider have turned into top players for sure but I don’t think they carried the same type of expectations at the time of the draft that Michkov had .

Incredible prediction: The winner will be one of the four clear frontrunners.

That's going out on a ledge.

Michkov has basically no 5v5 points either. Almost all on the PP or 3v3 overtime.

Wow what an unnecessary snarky post. There have been other names thrown around too, and if you paid more attention you would see I did narrow it to Celebrini or Michkov.
