god damn winning kicks ass
It's good for the organization and for the prospects down there.

You need a winning culture at some level, and we haven't had it anywhere in a long time.

Another positive move since the new ownership.

It seems Halliday is heating up a bit, hopefully he has a few mutli-point games and can creep close to PPG.

We still really need a draft where we aim for skilled guys. Ideally we make the playoffs this year and forfeit the first rounder, then go crazy in the later rounds trying to aim for skilled guys. Next year best case scenario, we do well again and build off as a playoff team, or worst case, we do poorly, but actually get a chance at drafting a generational player like McKenna.

I'm not sure what the team would do with that pick, even if we made the playoffs. I feel they would still kick it down the road to next season and still hope for a miracle that they don't have to give up a 1st rounder.

100% agree we are way past due to pick some high skill/high ceiling players.

We should be well stocked with bottom 6 and bottom pairing prospects already.
