Not that I'm advocating for trading Ritchie for another prospect but in no world to the Avs add "by a lot" for a defenseman who hasn't been able to hold down a regular defensive role for 3 seasons since being drafted on Columbus of all teams.Avs by a lot, simply because the last thing Columbus needs is another one-dimensional skilled forward.
Value-wise sure. In reality there's no way Columbus would consider Jiricek for Ritchie without a significant plus. Not that I'm advocating for trading Ritchie for another prospect but in no world to the Avs add "by a lot" for a defenseman who hasn't been able to hold down a regular defensive role for 3 seasons since being drafted on Columbus of all teams.
The last thing the Avs need is a slow and soft defensemen.Avs by a lot, simply because the last thing Columbus needs is another one-dimensional skilled forward.
There was, in the off-season, it would've needed to be a 3-team trade since I doubt the Knights would've traded him to Colorado directly. I think the Caps will sign him long-term now though.Wish there was a way for the Avs to land Logan Thompson.
Friedman and others have said the Avs have shown interest so there's definite smoke. But I dunno...I'm very, very skeptical, and have been pretty obvious about it. He's extremely injury-prone and while he's capable of a 50-save shutout on some nights, he's also very capable of letting in 5 goals on 8 shots on others. I suppose though that times are desperate and the Avs need to do something, ANYTHING, right now.Guys, did anyone else here heard that Blackwood might be traded from Sharks to Avs? Is he any good?
Where did you hear this?Guys, did anyone else here heard that Blackwood might be traded from Sharks to Avs? Is he any good?
I feel like if Blackwood was their main target, they would have already done it. They may still go after him, but I think it would be more as a fallback option.Guys, did anyone else here heard that Blackwood might be traded from Sharks to Avs? Is he any good?
That seems like a perfect fit for the Avs if you ask me.Friedman and others have said the Avs have shown interest so there's definite smoke. On the Internet.Where did you hear this?
Yeah, Varly was injury prone and we did not resign him because we were worried that he might get another hip injury but here he is still playing. Georgie seems to be pretty healthy with Avs but very inconstant in net giving up goals that he should have saved and costing us games. That seems like a perfect fit for the Avs if you ask me.
And what is going on with Canadians. We keep trading them all of our top prospects like Barron and Newhook and those blokes seemed to be busting out with our top prospects.
Since when was Jiricek soft? The last thing the Avs need is a slow and soft defensemen.
Which is the right move. Having to play the vote of confidence multiple times a season in every season is simply too much to put faith in, especially long-term.The Avs reportedly being in on Askarov last Summer leads me to believe they aren't as confident in Georgiev as you think.
I have a friend who knows some folks w/ the sharks. He said there’s smoke.Guys, did anyone else here heard that Blackwood might be traded from Sharks to Avs? Is he any good?
I’m done trying to figure out goaltending in the NHL. Not even sure what would be an upgrade in net for the AvsBlackwood with a .800 against the Wings tonight, he’d fit right in
Can McAvoy play Goalie?Someone wake me up when we make a trade centered around McAvoy and Toews. Before you ask, yes, the Bruins will either be retaining or taking back Miles Wood in order to balance the contracts.
