There arent a lot of clear upgrades to 2C and every team is bidding on the same ones. Also Manson definitely is underrated as Jones is really the only one who would clearly push him down the depth chart on the right side. Most that have been sought after don't seem remotely available and two of the biggest pieces we checked in on had very few places they wanted to go and we werent on thier list. Is a really tough landscape overall but seems the easiest route would to give Necas a look at 2C and look at middle six RW instead of center. It would also serve as Nuke insurance even if it doesnt work out.

I get that but I tried not to cherry pick. I don't think you can tell the story of Mittelstadt's season without acknowledging the splits. I choose November 1st as a nice clean date, to his credit he was still producing until around Turkey Day. November 21st was the start of the 8 game pointless/18 game goalless streak.

I honestly don't know what the difference between MacKinnon and Miller is? Looks like they both can be considered assholes that yells at his teammates. No one had issues with Miller until Pettersson and it sounds like Canucks management sided with Miller and told Pettersson to grow up?

What’s the point of talking about JT Miller now that the reports are he turned down a trade to Avs. Obviously Avs wanted him and didn’t care about his personality or didn’t think he had a bad one. Some players just want to go to bigger markets, or popular cities etc.. Giroux turned down an offer to Avs to go to Florida. Jokes on him, he would have won the cup, instead he’s rotting in Ottawa

MacK has never caused a rift in his locker room. Miller, on the other hand.... This is what like 3 teams now? MacK clearly knows how to keep it on the ice.

I’ll just assume the 2C upgrade isn’t there. I think the Avs can add a guy like Nelson.

But the Avs most definitely need another top 9 winger to move Kiviranta off the 3rd line. Need a substantial upgrade there at minimum.

Would love if Horvat or Thomas came out of left field, not sure what incentive their teams would have vice a full tear down of the roster. Pinto or Cozens could be fun flyers to take on younger guys with potential.

I want a right shot veteran too. EJ/Gudas type. I don't trust Malinski in the playoffs, and you're left playing Kylington at RD if he gets caved in.

At least with one of them sitting in the 8th spot there is some insurance. EJ brings back leadership, and from what I've read Gudas is that type too.

It's possible the truth is somewhere inbetween. Like perhaps Miller said no to Colorado unless a deal with NYR was totally dead.
