Could Margot Robbie also be there?I wish I could sit in Charlize Theron's bedroom, and see what was going on.
I'd be headed straight to EdmontonWell, you'd always know where the closest plie of shit was.
I'm onboard with RIAL, do whatever it takes to get Tippett.
He's like if Lawson Crouse was actually goodHe’s got to be the most non-superstar, perfect fit for this team there is.
I would gladly overpay for him because his value as an Av in our system would go through the roof.
Yeah, do flies even have ears?! Could you even understand what they're saying if you had the brain of a fly?
Could Margot Robbie also be there?![]()
Watching Bednar's mouth moving and hands motioning, but there's just low dull vibrations instead of anything comprehensibleI feel like this is how Miles Wood is listening to a coach’s instructions.
Then you just have to smell shit rest of your lifeand what if you're stuck as a fly and can't turn back?
Which would, mercifully, only last a few weeks or soThen you just have to smell shit rest of your life

Exactly this. If you go back to the trade thread @AvsCOL, you'll see that a lot of us were pleased with the return, at least as soon as we realized Fat Frank was wrong about Kotkaniemi being a key piece in the tradeThere’s a few of us here who were actually very pleased with the return right when it happened on that infamous Friday night.
It was mostly mainstream media and fans who don’t watch the Avs and only see Rantanen highlights burying MacK/Makar created chances that said it was a terrible deal for us.
So according to Pagnotta:
- Mitts is on the trade block
- Avs are one of the teams interested in: Nelson (C), Jones (RD), Schenn (C), Gourde (C), Palmieri (RW), Ferraro (LD), Grzelcyk (LD).
(Palmieri is obviously the easy one...)

I understand but I miss the days of journalism, sports or otherwise, where people spoke of what they know and stuck to that. Maybe this is just “old man yells at clouds” but that my opinion on it.
Ya but it seems the whispers are getting louder. Tulsky rolled the dice. I tend to agree that I think they'd rather take this to the 11th hour of free agency but if/when he decides to test the market, losing Necas + Drury + 2nd + 4th for nothing would be a big blow. He will have to weigh out his confidence of getting Rantanen vs. the return he can get for Rantanen and the help during the playoffs. It's hard to imagine the Canes would move out Rantanen after having already given up Necas +++.
I thought about them getting a big futures package and then flipping that for pieces that would help them this year but like what ? Pettersson has been pretty darn bad for a good long while now AND he's got a monster contract. I'm not sure I'd love to give up a lot of assets to acquire him and then pray he's able to find his game again. Pretty risky - and they just rolled the dice with the Necas-Rants trade.
I guess I'm having trouble seeing what kind of deal they could actually come up with that would even get them back on par after losing Necas + Drury AND also Rantanen.
I think the Canes have painted themselves into a corner here with some pretty terrible management. Failure to get some kind of confirmation that Rantanen would be willing to sign in Carolina prior to making that trade is a massive rookie mistake - one that not too many people on this very forum would have even made. It's kinda funny how everyone was praising that cryptkeeper Carolina GM as soon as the trade was made but maybe not so much anymore.
In the end, I think they keep Rantanen and add to their team and just hope that it's enough to get them out of the East and make the Cup final.
If mikko only costs2.5-3.0 million. They can get a team to retain salary. And get Carolina to possibly get a roster player of roughly equal value. In terms of cap. So I’d say a 2/3 rounder for cap rention closer to 3rd round pick. Carolina could take on victor atdvisson. Adam Henrique, Kane and his LTIR..I just don’t see it being hard.sure the coast to take the player back is gonna cost. But rants you get at deadline price. First mid top tier prospect and a roster player.. if it’s on of those mentioned the cost goes up. JMO I don’t think it’d be hard at allNo way the Oilers get the cap space
I do see non-playoff teams taking a swing this summer if he's available: Chicago, Montreal, Seattle, Utah, Buffalo...
I want to be remembered as hating. The trade. Colorado now needs goal scoring. We all knew about rants but he was a goal scorer tied the club history if I remember right. Eh
Bring him home.
He knows what's good for him. He'll take a discount. He'll be extra motivated after he realises he's been coasting and he doesn't want to suffer dry barbecue and college basketball any longer. I don't care what he's paid, the spreadsheet nerds are there for that. Why?
I keep thinking this, say he did want to come back, what do you pay him next year? Do you do a one year deal, and see if he's made an adjustment to his conditioning?
Even at his current salary I'm not sure there is a fit. If he doesn't significantly turn things around he's not even worth 9M.
I like Necas as a player and I think Colorado plugged a few holes. We’ll never know if he had eyes on a different team. So I’ll give the team a bit of a benefit of the doubt Especially with what’s going on in Carolina.Thankfully Mack decided to start shooting again, and Necas shot rate has doubled from his norm too.
