Cmac literally said he wouldn't mind if Necas was tried at center.

One of those things needs to happen though. Either see if Necas can prop up Mitts like he did KK, or try him at center.

I personally like the idea of trading Mitts for Zacha, and moving Necas to the second line the most of the realistic scenarios.
"Wouldn't mind" versus "This is what we got him for" are two different things. I'm sure they'd be thrilled if he could be the solution but I simply don't believe he is. If he really was a center, I guarantee he would've been one in Carolina already. Though they didn't quite utilize him the way they should IMO, they did try him there and it didn't work.

Bednar doesn’t give a flying f*** what CMac minds or doesn’t mind.

Then bye Felicia

Doesn't really matter diddley dick what CMac thinks, Bednar deploys players like he sees fit. There is a major disconnect between the two, and CMac isn't telling Bednar what to do.
I find it difficult to believe the HFAvs narrative that CMac and Bednar are not on the same page, that there is dissent between them, or whatever. I just don't think that's how it works. I'm sure the two talk regularly, exchange views on the team, etc. Seems ridiculous otherwise

Are you just now discovering this?

Lol, you completely missed the point. These things need to happen in order for Cmac to make the best decision possible as to what to do prior to the deadline.

I don't think he is.

I'm guessing when the smoke clears, both of them will be gone.

I'll be ready for that if they waste another year of Mack and Makar's prime, add Necas to that list now too.

Yeah, even I think it might be time if this year ends in failure once again.

But I definitely am not on board with MacFarland staying if Bednar goes. The former has done way more to hinder this team than the latter.

Then why does CMac acquire players that Bednar has absolutely no time for?

CMac has shown he's more than willing to be aggressive to shake up this team and get it going. Bednar also wasn't "his" hire even if they know one another from Columbus.

If anyone goes, it's Bednar while CMac gets his shot with a coach of his choosing.

That's assuming Sakic does things traditionally. The fly being Bednar was his hire, and he won with him.

I do actually believe Bednar and Cmac don't have the same relationship as Bednar and Sakic. Especially seeing that Bednar had no clue Mikko was getting traded.

THIS. ^^^^

And the results of the playoffs should be the determining factor.

Bednar has repeatedly demonstrated he is not the most mentally flexible coach, and his staff may be worse. CMac has certainly made mistakes, yet has worked hard to rectify them. See: Jo, Ry.

On March 7th I will likely be upgrading CMac's grade, or moving it to a 1 promptly.

Crosby 50% and Jones 25% retained. Punch it Cmac 🏎 🏁

It's been 603 days since Kadri played a game for the Avs and they had a real 2C. The only thing cMac is punching is the 'maybe next year' button.

Imagine someone told us in the summer of '22 we were going to lose Kadri to UFA, then in the next 2.5 seasons trade Rantanen AND Byram and still not have a 2C. I wouldn't have believed it. The incompetence is remarkable.
