I’m too attached to the idea of Jared McCann being our 2C

He’s not really a good C in the NHL. Seattle used him there last year at 1C or 2C This year bringing up Wright and getting CS they didn’t have to play him there anymore. Plus the way he imploded on that slow ass hit from Makar in the playoffs. Please he would be injured all the time in Denver.

To be clear he was “in Toronto” for like, five minutes.

But I agree, he was never really a bad player, he just never really seemed to approach his potential until he was in Seattle. There he became a legit impact player. Before that he was a depth guy IMO.
