Sorry but this is about as intellectual as it is accurate in how I view things. Also a very inaccurate characterization of what I said.

First of all, I'm probably very much in line with your thoughts on JTM as a human being. f*** him.

Second of all, you're assuming you know exactly what happened, based off an obviously one sided telling from a random person on the internet, which may or may not be true.

Third, there are assholes on every team. Homophobic assholes on every team. If the worse thing he did was call EP the F word, then you tell him to go f*** himself, you don't pout about it and show weakness to a bully. You don't have a beer with him to condone what he did, you have a beer to be the bigger man, and get him to stfu while telling him you still think he's an asshole.

That's fine too IMO. Letting one dickhead impact your life and ruin your team isn't the right approach though.
 
If we have learned anything with the trade for Necas, the fit matters. I hope CMac keeps that in mind going forward. Don't just get someone because they've put up some good numbers, ask yourself if he is a fit for the way we like to play.

Or better yet… and I know this is crazy… ask your Stanley Cup winning coach with the 3rd longest tenure in the NHL.

You’d have to imagine Jon Cooper was asked if Jake Guentzel would fit his style and countless other examples. Trust the coach. No point trying to shove a square peg into a round hole.

Get off your high horse. I would have already given my employer, namely Canucks management the opportunity to rectify the situation. If they didn’t handle it then I would and frankly, if that meant JTM ended up with an injury then I’m fine with it. It’s JTM that’s ruining the team. If Canucks management didn’t handle it then how much do you think they give a shit about the team? Don’t put up bullies. Take them out right away and set boundaries. Had EP done that then I doubt JTM’s friends would back that asshole. Glad that mofo isn’t on the Avs.

I’m not in the fire Bednar camp yet, but when the “fit” is such a narrow set of players, it’s nearly impossible to make moves to fill the roster with players that fit. At some point you have to get skilled players who may not fit the system, and make it work with them.

I mean if we get a good 2C and have really good top two lines that will consistently provide offense, we’ll be fine with Drury at 3C because he does other things well like faceoffs and he’s good defensively, but yeah, we could use better wingers on that 3rd line.

Colton should be a good 3rd line winger, and he was really good earlier in the season. Not sure what’s going on with him. If we get Landy back, and we gonna get Val back, Landy will potentially be on the 3rd line which will help

if Landy does get in the lineup for the playoffs, it’ll be for a morale boost and maybe a couple shifts.

IMO fans need to quit penciling him in as anything impactful. Even if he does get in, it’s been a couple years since he last played. He’ll likely be not good.

You’re saying that now after Eller, Compher/Newhook, Johansen. You can’t allow this previous failure to be the excuse.

I can see Landy not having much impact in the 1st round ( if he’s back obviously) but if we get through the 1st round, I think he will start having impact in the 2nd round after shaking off the rust
 
Does “we” even exist? It seems like a word that’s used as a tool for manipulation. When you say “we”, it’s supposed to be about all of us. But when I say we, it’s supposed to be about me.

Apologies. This is what I was responding to.

That one dickhead is JTM. It’s JTM’s comments which divide and ruin the team. Not how I handle his comments. It’s everyone’s responsibility to uphold the team, at least in public and handle matters such as this behind closed doors. That includes JTM and his supporters on the Canucks. If I were management then I would have made sure every member of the team and staff immediately understood that and that there would be extremely serious consequences for any further transgressions, team position in the standings be damned. This kind of crap will destroy a team if allowed to fester.
