Not sure Bennett would be a stylistic fit with Bednar.
He did fine when Brunette was coaching and pushing pace. Plus, there’s another level he has in the playoffs.

Drury is a 4CIf anything, the Avalanche need a 3C.
I've liked Drury since he came over, but facts are facts: he's on pace for 19 points. That is not 3C production.
Quick, trade Mitts while everyone is distracted by the superb owl.
I’m so distracted.View attachment 975319
It is quite superb
This is the boomeriest boomer victim blamiest shit I’ve seen all week.
Yeah bro just let it roll off your back. Show your abusive homophobic coworker that you can have a beer together after work.
I’m sorry, what?
Play is separate from the issue of disrespect. IMO, EP would have been within his rights to clock JTM upside the head from the get go. As for me I’d warn JTM once as a civilized gentleman not to bring his shit in here. I’d warn the Canucks as a courtesy since we’re their employees. And if JTM pulled that shit again and the Canucks hadn’t done shit about it to meaningfully put an immediate halt to it then I’d go full on barbarian on JTM and beat the shit outta him with a 2x4 if necessary. Not kidding! FAFO!
You might be right, but I'd like to see him with other wingers before I make that determination. The corpse of Miles Wood and this ghost version of Ross Colton is just awful to work with.Drury is a 4C
If we have learned anything with the trade for Necas, the fit matters. I hope CMac keeps that in mind going forward. Don't just get someone because they've put up some good numbers, ask yourself if he is a fit for the way we like to play.
Get off your high horse. I would have already given my employer, namely Canucks management the opportunity to rectify the situation. If they didn’t handle it then I would and frankly, if that meant JTM ended up with an injury then I’m fine with it. It’s JTM that’s ruining the team. If Canucks management didn’t handle it then how much do you think they give a shit about the team? Don’t put up bullies. Take them out right away and set boundaries. Had EP done that then I doubt JTM’s friends would back that asshole. Glad that mofo isn’t on the Avs.That's fine too IMO. Letting one dickhead impact your life and ruin your team isn't the right approach though.
Or better yet… and I know this is crazy… ask your Stanley Cup winning coach with the 3rd longest tenure in the NHL.
You’d have to imagine Jon Cooper was asked if Jake Guentzel would fit his style and countless other examples. Trust the coach. No point trying to shove a square peg into a round hole.
I’m not in the fire Bednar camp yet, but when the “fit” is such a narrow set of players, it’s nearly impossible to make moves to fill the roster with players that fit. At some point you have to get skilled players who may not fit the system, and make it work with them.If we have learned anything with the trade for Necas, the fit matters. I mean if we get a good 2C and have really good top two lines that will consistently provide offense, we’ll be fine with Drury at 3C because he does other things well like faceoffs and he’s good defensively, but yeah, we could use better wingers on that 3rd line. You might be right, but I'd like to see him with other wingers before I make that determination. if Landy does get in the lineup for the playoffs, it’ll be for a morale boost and maybe a couple shifts.I mean if we get a good 2C and have really good top two lines that will consistently provide offense, we’ll be fine with Drury at 3C because he does other things well like faceoffs and he’s good defensively, but yeah, we could use better wingers on that 3rd line.
Colton should be a good 3rd line winger, and he was really good earlier in the season. Not sure what’s going on with him. If we get Landy back, and we gonna get Val back, Landy will potentially be on the 3rd line

I can see Landy not having much impact in the 1st round ( if he’s back obviously) but if we get through the 1st round, I think he will start having impact in the 2nd round after shaking off the rustif Landy does get in the lineup for the playoffs, it’ll be for a morale boost and maybe a couple shifts.
IMO fans need to quit penciling him in as anything impactful. Even if he does get in, it’s been a couple years since he last played. He’ll likely be not good.
We should ban all discussion about “that rumor.” Does no good.
I actually agree. It’s a rumour, and it’s about a non-Avs player, let’s stop talking about it
Apologies. This is what I was responding to.What high horse? I agreed with you. That would put you on the same horse. I even said don't let one dickhead ruin your team, and you're telling me that it's JTM ruining the team.
Isn't this also about talking to people with some level of respect?
Alright, guess I'll be more blunt.
Miller has been traded away, and now has nothing to do with with trade rumors or free agency. So it's time to can this
