In all seriousness I'd probably take him over Mitts at this point.

We really need someone established. Can’t keep messing around with unknowns like RyJo, Mittelstadt and keep going through this vicious cycle. In RyJo’s case he was washed up and more of a reclamation project and Mitts was not an established player, we were just hoping it would work out

That doesn't mean we have to go with an ex-Av in his mid 30's like ROR or Kadri though.

The only issue with Kadri and ROR is that they’re on the wrong side of 30 and getting older, but they would help us immediately, right now and for at least couple of more years

I'd say they are on the wrong side of 33...not sure about the couple more years part.

Most players when they reach 34-35 fall off a cliff and lose several steps. They are still good then one day they aren't good anymore. It happens very fast!

ROR is getting outscored by Mitts this year... He'd be better defensively, but he can't skate and isn't good enough to the 2C on a cup team.

I wasn’t very serious about ROR. Just throwing it out there because I really can’t think of who’s out there for us to truly upgrade the 2C. I would take Kadri back though

Of the three, I think he's the only one they'd ever entertain bringing back, but who knows.

He makes 3.1 this season, starts a 5 year extension at 5.75/M-NTC next season.

Calgary gets mitts with a little over 2 years at 5.75 but no M-NTC

I'm starting to think Zacha would be overall as a all situations two way center. Especially if you want a center who leans more towards shooting, is good on draws, is better defensively, and PKs.

I think people just need to try to accept the likelihood that they won't make a major move for a 2C until the summer.
