Same as we heard over the summer. Weather or not you want to belive it is up to you.

Yep, he steadfastly refuses to even apologize while acting like a Russian gangster on social media.

I really hope they get rid of him soon. He's going to f*** up again, it's just a matter of time.

Why would NJ want Murphy? The reason they'd even entertain moving Nemec is because they have Hamilton, Pesce, and Kovacevic on the right Infront of him. They wouldn't want Murphy.

I mentioned his name as he'd basically be the only forward we have that is in that elite tier that could maaaybe at least get a (very short) conversation started, not because I necessarily want to see that. I don't think it's a realistic trade anyhow.

As for the job, no taksies backsies ;)

Could remove Murphy and Nemec. I was just trying to make it even for all three teams. NJ doesn't have the cap space to add Colton, so they would need to create space. Maybe they would entertain trading Mercer instead?

To NJ: Colton
To Hawks: Mercer
to Avs: Jones ($2.5M retained)

IDK.

If Chicago offer Jones at 7M AAV they'll get phone calls, we'll have to outbid everyone else. That's the hard part.

But first we gotta assume that Colton would waive for NJ and the Devils agree to trade Mercer for him and that the Hawks are interested in Mercer...(that's a shitload of assumption).

If everything above is true, I'd throw in at least our two 2025 2nd rounders to make it work. Getting rid of Colton's contract + getting Jones significantly retained for only two 2nd rd picks would be quite a win.

Just a small correction. We’ll have to outbid the teams that Jones is willing to waive for.

This is JT Miller all over again.

While I agree his value is higher than what Bill posted, particularly with retention, I don’t think it will be extremely high.

For once, we actually have an inside track for a player with a NMC as it’s been reported he would have little issue waiving for Colorado. Birthplace, family, etc.
