Rumor: 2024-2025 Trade Rumors and Free Agency Talk | Part Deux

Not sure I agree. While Chytil has potential, because of his deployment in New York he hasn't really been able to show that constant production. His playing style is great. Mittelstadt has that over him.

And you simply can't gloss over the concussion issues. The salary difference isn't that big.
Chytil plays like he wants to win hockey games. Mittelstadt has wet dreams about playing a full game where he doesn’t have to touch the puck once.

I’m not saying Chytil is amazing or anything. I just think at his contract he’s more valuable for what he brings. He doesn’t win the argument, Mittelstadt just loses.

Not sure I buy the Zegras buzz. This is a classic Elliotte Friedmann speculation nugget. He’s never really connected anything to the Avs as far as I know.

I truly can’t understand why he has the great reputation he does.

We need to actually listen/watch/read the exact quotes for things like this.

All Friedman said was that an NHL executive told him that the Avs *should* go for Zegras as his speed and rush ability would be a good fit.

That’s it.

Look, I love Chytil. I think his peak potential is certainly up there with Mittelstadt, probably better. But still not sure that he would be worth more than Mittelstadt, even with the season Mitts is having.

Where's henchman? Zegras might be the only guy he'd love more than he loves Mittelstadt in that spot.
We are not allowed to talk about that

If Chytil is healthy, he will be good for the Canucks. He never got the role he deserved with the Rangers, a theme among their young forwards.
I'd consider Chytil's concussion risk as significantly higher than Byram's. He's potentially one hit away from pasture

It's high for both players. I'm not going to make a scale here. Point is, Byram's concussion history no doubt effected his value.
