Win a cup.

Colton isn't going to waive for Utah. Turn that into a three team trade where you don't tell NJ you're flipping the assets for Crouse.

Crouse actually wouldn't be THAT difficult to get I think. He's having on off year as far goal scoring. The season is halfway gone, and he's only put up 7.

Goals are not the only thing that dude does though obviously.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but Crouse is exactly the type of player we need.

Big body, net front animal, deflections/screens/tips/rebounds. The thing is, he can actually skate and has speed to play within our style.

There aren’t many players like that.

Isn’t Crouse a winger? If so, how many wingers do we need?

What does Utah even want/need? Picks and prospects? I thought they want to compete soon?

What is Crouse’s value? $4.3m x 3y and 20+ goals for the past 3 seasons straight.

Are they after Crouse?

Maybe Wood plus something else that would be enough for Utah to give us Crouse with salary retention

Would take more then that for sure.

Crouse isn't a cap dump. I do think his value probably isn't where it was because he is having a pretty bad year. But that size and skating combination combined with his past seasons will still mean teams would pay decent value for him.

I think something like Colton + one of our 2nds would be reasonable return. Colton carries a similar cap hit and similar production in that 20G/40 point range and also plays pretty physical himself. But doesn't have the size and is a year older.

Colton does have the versatility of being able to play C or Wing...

I dunno, I think they're fairly close in value tbh. Maybe we'd get a late pick back with Crouse for Ross + 2nd. Like a 5th or 6th or something. The CMac special.

Personally I think we need to get a center. Whatever assets we have to give up for another winger, it should go for a center instead
