I’m almost leaning towards breaking up Necas and MacKinnon and running Necas at 2C. A lot easier to find top wingers than a top 6C.

I don’t disagree, but I also wouldn’t mind getting a more physical winger with speed who might have a bit less offensive touch than Boeser

Do we really need a player like that though?

For one, our system doesn't encourage physical play from the wingers. Speed and tenacity yes, but not so much finishing checks.

When we're healthy we have Nuke and Lehky who pretty much bring those exact traits already... And potentially Landy coming back at some point as well.

IMO what the Top 6 is missing now especially with Mikko moved is a pure goal scorer with an elite shot. Boeser is probably your best chance at getting someone who can provide that.

He mentioned Kreider. Kreider is good at scoring around the net when/if Nichushkin is out. The 2022 team had Landeskog, Kadri, and Nichushkin or that. Now it’s down to 1.
