Figured now would be a good time for this thread. Teams are pretty set. Most trades have happened except the rumored Barlow to OSH one.

Same template as last year. 1 pt for each teams seeding (1 thru 10) u get right, 2 points if u get the playoff conference winner right & 3 if u get the league champion right. You can be informative on your picks or just say who it is & leave it at that. Doesn't matter tho it is nice to know everyone's reasoning. I'll add it up at the end & post the top 5 or top 10.

Reigning champ is @lazyboy who got 10 points!

Predictions will close at 7:00 PM next Wednesday (opening night). Good luck!

West:
London
Flint
Erie
Saginaw
Guelph
Windsor
Sarnia
Soo
Kitchener
Owen Sound

East:
Brampton
Oshawa
Barrie
Brantford
Kingston
Sudbury
Ottawa
Petes
Niagara
North Bay

I'll call the boring/expected final: London vs Brampton. Brampton wins.

For the west, London and Erie are going to be solidly locked into those 1 and 3 spots. Gets messy for 2, 4, and 5. Flint has a ton of ammo left to supplement their roster. They have for a while. If they finally commit to going all in, I'll give them the division pretty easily. If they ride the fence, Saginaw could fight them for it. Guelph is a weird one. The CAN be good but will they? A lot of the same guys are back that under performed last year. Windsor will be better than most people think. They have a nice set of young talent. Just a year away from doing real damage. Sarnia and Soo will battle it out for those 7-8 spots. Owen Sound is going to be gutted. Hello lottery. Kitchener will take their lumps too.

The east will be a warzone. There is a clear line at Kingston. 5 really good teams. Brampton is already loaded with talent and has the ability to get so much more. They have a quality coach to manage it. Hard not to like them. Oshawa getting Barlow I think helps them hold down their division but I do question if they will have enough to push through a tougher conference this time around. Mix and match any of the next 3. Although I like Barrie's depth enough that they seem to be Brampton's true obstacle in the east. Kingston is Kingston. On paper they are good but they might be a victim of a first round exit. Brantford is a year away from being at their peak, but they'll give someone a test in round 2. 6-8, mix and match. Combo of young/mid rosters. Sorry Niagara. I don't think you make it this year either. Just too much of a clown shown still. North Bay last especially if Wakely is off to the pros. Romani will be a nice chip to move though.

As always, I'm ready to be wrong.

It is going to be really hard for me to deviate from this prediction listing. This is pretty solid!

North Bay will be competitive somehow. They still have VanSteensel, Romani and Wakley and McIvor
For now….

Where is Kitchener?
Just West of Guelph….

Romani and Wakely will be moved fairly early. Their defense lacks effective puck movers. Decent forward depth still, but they're going to lose some bodies.

I think NB And Ottawa are two teams that will sell but most likely will hold on to their key pieces until closer to the deadline in an effort to milk some extra points in the standings. I don’t think either team is interested in missing the playoffs. Both will thin out their OA’s as necessary but guys like Wakely, VanSteensel, Romani, Pinelli, Mayich, Foster etc will be held back.

I think the Western Conference teams that are selling will be more apt to moving players early. Once we see Barlow move, I don’t think we will see another Elite name drop until the deadline. I think a few teams will be eying Parker Vaughn. If I were NB, I would be holding Romani back for a chance at Vaughn as opposed to taking picks and/or middling 17 year olds.
