Watched every BC game because of Hagens, and Perreault has been incredibly creative. Leonard has hit a half-dozen posts and was snake-bitten until last night, so Perreault easily could have notched 2+ points every game. His clapper at the buzzer against the NTDP was like Brett Hull — huuuge windup and top corner.

Perreault IMO is a top-10 overall prospect in all of hockey. He may also be the best pure passer, which is something I didn’t expect two years ago. Thing is, BC’s early slate has been brutal - @ No. 4 MSU x 2, U18 NTDP, and No. 14 WMU last night. Next week it’s two games at No. 12 St. Cloud State. He’s doing it against tough teams and without Smith.

Fortescue has been solid as well and is taking more chances with the puck. He’s been a minute-eater and used on the PK with outstanding success (BC PK is perfect on the season IIRC).

Henricks was on the third line for WMU and made a nice power move but was otherwise safe and nondescript. He’s a younger freshman and Broncos are deep. They should be a tournament team with that elite goaltending.

f***ing shoot this perreault shit straight into my veins. he sounds like panarin.

it's so interesting to think about what the makeup of this team might be in 3 years. which of the young guys will stick? Trocheck as an older middle 6 C... even with Chytil looking great i think we'll need another Center. maybe FA?

Does he have a shot at making the US WJC?

I'd be surprised if he isn't an odds on favourite to be there as of now. Probably good enough on merit alone, but if his defensive game is as polished as purported (and the minutes he's getting in NCAA lead me to believe that it is), then that makes him a very desireable add for any team in that age group.

It isn't easy to find genuine shutdown defenders that young.
