Imagine this has been discussed elsewhere but since Utah HC has retained the rights to Victor Soderstrom is there any chance that door is still open?

Realize the difference between the SHL and hockey in either the AHL or NHL is huge. But he is +25 with 25 points in 39 games for Brynas back in Sweden.

If nothing else, would another team be interested in acquiring his rights?

I think he must have a small amount of trade value. But that depends on his willingness to report to the AHL affiliate of the acquiring team.

He doesn't play heavy enough for Bill's liking so he doesn't have a future in Utah.

Can't say I'm not a little disappointed in both Lutz & Mattika...thought for sure those guys would be putting up more pts even though they are young for the AHL

Is there too much winger depth in Tucson? Raty's production is way down from last year. Are vets like Sokolov and Yamamoto getting all the opportunities?

Swap rights with Winnipeg for Heinola?

DEL is a pro league, I believe. I think he got his first pro goal in 2021-22, but that's just semantics.

I believe that a lot of the depth in our prospect pool is legitimate NHL talent - Matikka, Hradec, Lipkin, Castagna, Skahan, Szuber... but it's hard to hold firmly on that belief when they're putting so few points on the board.
