Looks like But has become a regular in the Loko lineup and he's doing well with it. KHL tends to be stingy with awarding assists, so 5 in 9 games is a pretty good start.

It's crazy early to be saying this but it seems like But and Iginla are on track to earn spots next fall. Maybe they replace Bjugstad and Kerfoot who have expiring contracts.
On the D side, it seems like Simashev and Lamoureux are on track to earn spots next fall. Simashev can replace Cole and Lamoureux can replace Bortuzzo. I'm really not sure who is the 7th D in that scenario (assuming Kolyachonok is the 8th).

almost feels like too many rookies though. The team could take a step back next season because of it.
Because of this situation I'm very tempted to move Maccelli for some defense this season or for a 3C next offseason so Iggy can play 3RW
You guys are putting the cart before the horse. You guys are talking about letting guys bake in the A, and in the next breath you have them making the NHL club next year without playing a minute in the A.

Simashev, But are already playing KHL, no way they play in AHL first.
MavLam they may give another year in the AHL to bake him further, but I doubt it.
