2024-2025 Powerplay Discussion

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
As a last note:
- currently opponents are overplaying Laine when Habs are on 5 v 4. This leads to a sort of 4 v 3 but imo not really, as its from an angle to the goal. If opponents start to overplay Laine when he is on top of diamond (quarterback if thats the correct term), then it becomes a real 4 v 3 with huge chances to play puck to Caufield for one-timers on a goalie who is moving from left to right and screened.

Things won't happen until Slaf can make a play from the goal-line to the net. But he just wants to stand there and only pass, so they can cut Caufield off in the bumper. Slaf makes it a 3 on 3 because he isn't a threat to do anything from his stationary spot.

I'd like to see this:
Dach
Laine - Caufield - Suzuki
Hutson

Gallagher/Evans
Mailloux - Newhook - Slaf
Matheson

Dach is better as net front. Put Slaf back to his spot
