Good to see nobody has jumped to any conclusions yet.

The magical run wasn't going to last the entire season. But the team also isn't as bad as they've looked in the last two games. There will continue to be ups and downs.

It just underscores the impact of how Yzerman handles the trade deadline.

I personally was encouraged by the way they played yesterday. Play that game 10 times and Detroit wins it 9 times. Get a 3rd pair D-man that can be a good PK guy, as well as a 3C that can soak up some minutes. Would love it if I never have to see Holl in a wings jersey again

There is lots of season left, the trade deadline isn't here yet and our roster and other teams will certainly become stronger or weaker.

It's going to be a dog fight from here on out, like it's been the past month.
