I couldn't watch the game, in a medical rehab in NJ strengthening my almost 89 year old muscles. The Raptors have everyone out because of injury but the Celtics win in OT with a 3 pointer from Tatum. Amazing. RAPTORS haven't won an away game this season
They rank 30 out of 30 with 2 wins in 14 games. They almost beat the Celtics who took 62 3P shots and missed 41 of them. Thank you Tatum had the Celtics lost, it would have been embarrassing to lose to them.
Is he a PG leaguer then ?I'm not sure if this is funny or sad......I still say that the LeBron, Bronny and the Lakers deserve all the criticism they get for how this whole thing was handled.
So had Brown got the call and made 1 point game over, Celtics Win. Had Brown got the call and missed still tied. Now to Tatum. Referring in all professional sports is bad today. They are human, make mistakes. Boston gets the Win, move on. Raptors had only won 2 of 14 games so does it matter? It's what if and what if and what if. These things happen, move on. This time it favored Boston.I feel bad for the Raptors.......hell no I don't.
from sportsnet.ca:
Jayson Tatum travelled moments before making the deciding three-pointer at the overtime buzzer to give the Boston Celtics a 126-123 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night, the NBA said.
Tatum moved his pivot foot with 3.4 seconds left in overtime and should have been called for travelling, the NBA revealed Sunday in its Last Two Minute Report.
The NBA publicly releases reports of officiated events — calls and notable non-calls — when games were at or within three points at any time in the last two minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime.
The uncalled travel was one of two missed calls on the final possession.
The NBA also said Toronto's Davion Mitchell should have been called for a foul against Boston's Jaylen Brown with 7 seconds remaining. Had that been called, Brown would have gone to the foul line with the score tied at 123.
Play continued after Brown was knocked backward, with Tatum already having the ball in his hands on the right wing. He shuffled his feet — that was the uncalled travel — before stepping back and shooting over Toronto's Ochai Agbaji.
Time expired as Tatum's shot made its way to the basket.
This is so true, in every sport. Others teams are always playing their best, when they are playing against the present Champion. If they want to beat anyone it is always the Champs. However the Raptures? They haven't won an away game this year to date. They have only won 3 of 15 games this season. The Referees didn't call a foul on Brown just before Tatum committed a foul that wasn't called before his winning score, so there was a lot of intervention at the end. EverettMike, I am just glad the Celtics won thus one. Thanks for pointing out what you did.I thin they are learning the hard way that as the champs they're going to get everyone's absolute best every night. There are no easy ones when everyone is gunning for you. Learning that will ultimately be good for them.
