So what exactly do the Celtics OWN in 2024 besides their trademark? Not much

They pay NO RENT to Jacobs. They used to own their training facility in Waltham but now have the same deal the Bruins have in Brighton with New Balance.

The previous owner Gaston owned both Channel 25 and WEEI for several years.

Enter Wynn Boston Encore who would love to build a new arena adjacent to the casino and they have the land. The liability is the Mayor of Everett looks like a character from Goodfellas, @EverettMike am I wrong?

Delaware North doesn't appear to be interested in buying the Celtics.

I believe they own 20% of NBC Sports Boston. So, what it's going to be in Everett, the Celtics or the Revolution? I remember the exact day I last visited Everett: Super Bowl 33, because one of my hockey teammates lived there and had a party. Took the 109 bus.

So the Celtics still pay no rent, hmmm. I know the first ten years were rent free(when the team was a basket case, no pun intended). My initial thought was that FSG would buy 80% of whatever stake is for sale and bring in Delaware North for the other 20%(like NESN!). I'm no avid hoop watcher(I watched the Calder Cup more than the NBA finals), but man, that payroll...

He gave Wynn the most sweetheart host agreement in history and people are catching on how he royally f***ed us over with the casino. Everett gets half of what it should.
