People were suggesting it for Morgan Geekie.

Donato is two years older, and 40g/80pts better in career numbers.

If one is worth $30M, the other should be as well.

really pulling for Blue Jackets to get into the dance, after the summer of tragedy they endured, what a testament to resilience they have been, might not go further than the 1st round but they`ll have my support

Career year ... 28 goals and still a minus 16.
A normal year has him averaging around 12 goals.

I really liked Donato when I watched him play in dev camp in 2015. He was easily our best forward talent wise, and centers usually take longer than to develope (wings)

But that’s the nature of the nhl. We traded him to get a guy who would have more of an impact on the ice right away and it almost fully worked out (Coyle was instrumental in overcoming the leafs that year and we almost won it all after that)

The bruins sure could use Donato in our center depth now, probably would have saved us on signing Lindholm.

Can’t fault Sweeney for making a lot of these moves, ultimately the players didn’t get it done and Cassidy didn’t make the right switches to get different looks in the coin flip. Boston ends up a stepping stone in his career and 6 years later he’s got his cup and the bruins are reaping the consequences of swinging for the fences year after year

Geekie at least has back to back seasons of 17 or more goals.
His career stats say he scores once every 5 games or roughly 16.4 goals per season.
This and last season has him on a 24 goal pace average over 82 games
