I`ve made the decision to be "meh" about whether they make the playoffs or not. This team is more than a deadline day add from being remotely frightening to any playoff opponent

Frankly, don`t think missing the playoffs necessarily a bad thing. Finally get a pick reasonably high in the draft for once in a long time
I get that. I want to have something to watch. If the games become meaningless and they slide out of the playoff race, I won’t watch. If they miss the playoffs on the last game of the regular season, that’s okay. I will then cheer for whoever the Leafs are playing against in the playoffs.

It's tough- I don't like this bubble-team mediocrity. It probably would feel good if you are a Sabres fan, but it's tough for fans of usually good teams. Giving futures to add to roster than might not be good enough to make it in anyway sounds terrible- better to do that with a team that is already a solid playoff club. Yet the chance of getting in means no retool/rebuild/whateveryouwanttocallit because that means likely killing any chance of squeaking by. Ugh.

Added Oilers center Leon Draisaitl: "I certainly think three games is a little too much, for either side. I guess we don't overly care about having our best players in the league in the game, so I'll leave it at that."

Well, here's a thought, Leon. I guess you don't overly care about head injuries which can be caused by what McDavid did.

I'm sure the league will survive just fine if McDavid has to miss 3 games.

If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime!

He must have been okay with Pietrangelo chopping his arm off a couple years ago.

i always thought they should take a shot despite his defensive shortcomings shows you what i know....
Stupid, but I often go on intuition.

The feeling I got from Spring was, as the kids say, meh.

Same way, to a far lesser degree, per Tommy Wingless.

Or a name to strike fear into the heart of every opponent, the immortal Jim Wiemer.

Montreal won

Barf…..I forgot how annoying the media is in Canada when Montreal wins. That with Toronto is like having two migraines at once

Rangers beat Ottawa 5-0.

What a logjam in the east

Wings lost in OT..Montreal caught fire with Laine.

Habs go ahead late in the 3rd vs Tampa Bay. 3-2 . Tampa Bay isn’t exactly guaranteed a playoff spot the way they have been playing lately.
Bruins need those games at hand to vanish to see what they are dealing with down the stretch
