Tampa looked sluggish today but shut things down the last 5 mins to beat habs 5-3 .Habs are toast.
The habs badly outshot the bolts, but goaltending was the difference in this one

TB reminded of the Bruins after they got a 4-1 lead. They just coasted the second half of the game and almost blew the lead if not for Vasilevskiy

I wouldn't count the habs out just yet (although I'd like to) as they are only 6 points behind Detroit for the last wildcard spot

There's about 10 teams who have a shot for a wildcard spot in the East. Whoever can string some wins together after the 4 nations tourney will have a good chance at grabbing a wildcard spot

Call me crazy but I'd rather see TB in the playoffs than Montreal (who I never want to see make the playoffs) ..and they usually have a chance to beat the Panthers, although they kinda shit the bed last year against the cats

I always enjoyed watching Hedman and Vasilevskiy play. They're two players I would've loved to see in a spoked B jersey

..and TB are beating the scabs 4-1 midway thru the 2nd period

Tampa looks good this year. Seems like they've kinda reformed a little bit after dipping the past 2 seasons. They still need to get some forwards at the deadline though because that forward depth is rough.

Once they're in though I'll be rooting against them. f*** them.

enthusiastically root for Montreal

Gotta wonder how many playoff altering injuries happen during the four nations
I told my buddy few weeks ago guaranteed somebody will go down

I laughed at dealing 3 first rd picks for Hagel..That never aged well for me ..They have no 1st in 25 but have a pair of 2nds.They have their picks though next yr and yr after & over 4 million at moment in cap space.More proof how bad our GM is against the cap.

I thought the price was steep for Hagel and thought the same for Goodrow. Then when the Jeannot trade came along, I was defending it because it worked out for them in the past . . that one didn't

Tampa GM has done a fantastic job getting back to back Cups and still an exciting team 4 yrs later with firepower and some cap space.I hate to say that but I can't deny it.
