About 6 months ago, The Wirz and Reinsdorf families announced a grandiose $7 billion redevelopment plan for the surrounding area. Its called the 1901 Project and a link is below. I'm sure that the $7 billion ain't coming out of their respective pockets...

I've been working in Commercial Real Estate in Chicago for 16 years......lets just say that I'll probably be in my mid 70s by the time this gets built, if it ever gets built......

Obama still hasn't gotten his Presidential Library opened here in Chicago.......and he's been out of office for 8+ years now.

Just curious, would it be welcome if the Pink Line had a stop near the UC? As a Boston area hockey fan(I live in Newton, Mass.), I consider myself lucky because I have good transit access to TD Garden and several college arenas. I've attended about thirty games this season and haven't driven to a single one.

They recently opened a new Green Line CTA stop on Damen about 3 blocks north of the UC back in July.

They got that funded and done in preparation for the DNC which was held in Chicago this past summer. I haven't used it yet, but its operational. Not sure how I feel about walking up Damen at 1am after a hockey game, but I haven't read about any issues so far.

I use public transportation (Metra & CTA) a lot. I live 35miles west of downtown and the train rides are a great way to get extra work done, read a book or just wind down. Its one of the best things about living in the Chicago Metro Area.

Ovechkin scored his 26th tonite

"Speaking anonymously and thus bravely,"

These players today are a bunch of self entitled wussies .O Bruce is so mean.Torts is mean too. They do not like being called out when they deserve it .

Boy did I enjoy watching the look on Monty's face when Panthers scored with 11 seconds left to beat Blues .Kyrou with the drive by and rebound came back to most dangerous player they have .They showed Monty a couple times and he looked like a can of soup

Fact is John Tortorella is the last coach to win a cup with the red line still in place and no salary cap.

In the 2 decades since he's won a grand total of 4 playoff series. Been past the 2nd round once. Only two seasons in that decade he wasn't behind the bench of an NHL team.

Players might like playing for Torts more if it actually resulted in on-ice success. His approach doesn't get results. Who likes working for a hard-ass boss that is not running the business successfully?
