Then what exactly went over my head?
My point that I was making .Columbus is a small market where nobody wants to go and play, they’re continuously at the Cap floor and Jarmo still manage to keep this team above 500 and competitive during his tenure. I think that’s doing a hell of a job.

You want to compare him with Seeeney? Well Jarmo didn’t get to start out with a team that had aTuukka, Bergeron, Marchand, Krejci, Lucic, Hamilton, Chara, Krug and Pasternak. He Didn’t have the luxury of maxing the cap out or Free Agents willing to go there. Hell the Hockey World was shocked when Gaudreau chose Columbus.

Despite those obstacles that GMs faces in a non Hockey market,Jarmo had some good teams, teams that battled but came up short, and this current squad which is very good has his finger prints all over it.Im sure it won’t be long and he’ll be back and im hoping it’s in a Hockey Market, this time

Lysell would be a closer in value to Chytil. The D-man I still don't see a fit. Wotherspoon and Callahan are both UFAs. Oesterle a career journeyman.

It's a reflection on how weak Boston's D-man prospect pool is. Maybe the Canucks would have liked Groenewald or Loke Johansson or Jackson Edward but hard to say.
Thank you 🙏🏼. I appreciate you taking the time to go to that level of detail.

This is pure BS! Sweeney was with the team in 2006 in Player Development, so he had a part in building the team that ended up being the GM for!.
To think he didn't have a part in that is dumb!. He did because he was later trusted to GM the team, so they had to trust his judgement in the earlier roles, he had in the organization.
So he wasn't just handed those players had some continue to get wrong!

Sabres up 3-0 on Devils early .Thompson with his 26th.USA brass should be ashamed leaving him off.More proof politics involved.
No kidding....it's a sin leaving Thompson off the USA roster

..not that it matters to them, but he's my favourite non Bruins player by a long shot

and he just made a great pass across the net to Zucker for an empty net goal to make it 4-1

Buffalo looks like a new team since they routed the Bruins last week

Thompson took a dirty (suspension worthy) hit to the head from Noesen @ 5:11 which knocked his helmet off and he left the game

..the video review showed a blatant hit to the head and a match penalty was assessed and a 5 minute PP for Buffalo ...but the Devils scored a SH goal to make it 4-3

Thompson did not return (probably due to concussion protocol) but the Sabres hung on for a 4-3 win

Speaking of Thompson, he got headshotted today and nobody on the Sabres did anything about it

Milan Lucic killed that franchise when he ran over Ryan Miller, it really is remarkable. Have they been relevant since???

Think that was pretty unavoidable. Guy actually played the puck and then in case of what looked to be a collision anyway, braced to be hitter and not hittee in said collision. Think most players would do the same.

Not trying to blame victim here, but Thompson’s peripheral vision and awareness left something to be desired.
