Makes me really interested to see what a Coyle, Carlo or Peake package could get.

Two of the three for sure- I'd like to keep Peeke if possible as he has been decent, is still pretty young, and is on a cheap contract for another year. That said, if Peeke is needed to grease the wheels on a deal, then adios, Andrew!

Me too. I like him a lot but if someone is really interested, like with 95% of this roster, I’d definitely listen.

I can't wait to root for a Bruins team without Coyle and Carlo. Id give up picks to see them gone and would take anyone from Prov over those two. Replacements are already on the roster of course in Zad and E Lindholm which is part of the desperation to see them gone as is their play.

I’d think a Coyle,Carlo package given their playoff experience would fetch a great return. 2026 first & Top prospect 2026 - 5th with a Clause in it, becomes a 3rd if the team makes the conference finals a 2nd if they win the cup.🤷‍♂️

No clue really, but those two could really push a team over the top as could Marchand.

One thing to say there are two paths in front of them.

Quiet another to make the decision to rip the bandaid off and become sellers.

Crossing the Rubicon, so to speak.
Which is why I am trying not to be too hard on them for not making any moves just yet. It is a big decision and one not to take lightly because it could really go badly sidewise. I expect they are still really wondering if the season could be salvaged because if they sell, it's as good as over (barring a miracle) and then the retool to come will need to go well. I know many of us want management sacked, but this is first time where I think they might feel like their jobs could be riding on what they choose to do.

Peake should be part of the future in my view, No-one is trading for Coyle with that contract unless we throw in a pick. I would rather waive him.

Disagree on Coyle. With the cap going up and only for 1 more year he’s very marketable. Granted it’s a down year, but he can play center or wing, kills penalties, is decent on the draw and is a solid teammate.

Guys like that are valued.

I do like Peake too, but he’s not going to be the difference between success and failure, so if someone wants to overpay for him, I’d do it.

Finishing 9/10 is worse case scenario and there's no plans for a long rebuild.

Unless we panic trade Pasta or McAvoy there's nothing to worry that we regret about moving anyone else.

7-11 in the East looks like a very tough slog with some really good teams.

You’re blaming coaching? What about the fact this team has no dangerous offensive players outside Pastrnak! No coach in the world would do well with this bunch of third line crap.
I agree no blaming the coach at this time, that is for discussion further down the road. You are right , this offense is horrendous, losing DeBrusk, and no replacement, is just GM, malpractice, on top of losing him for nothing.

Weren't you offering McAvoy to Vancouver?!?

I don't think so. We're going to see trades here in the next month. If Sweeney wasn't allowed to make trades he'd already be out. Cam and Charlie love the guy. He delivered 8 good seasons, they're not burning their house down over 1 bad one.

You could be right, no question, but I'm not sure about the "8 good seasons" thing...

If they don’t sell, for me it’ll be just a stop-gap measure in an attempt to try and slow down the flood gates. A good GM should have the foresight and recognize what lies ahead and move accordingly and if Sweeney and Neely actually see this team as a playoff team, imo they deserve to lose their jobs, because as currently constructed their not and even and add, is a risk because it still wouldn’t be a sure thing and more assets are lost.

Just finished watching the 3rd period and OT of the blue jackets comeback win over Utah. Very good team who seems like their Destin for a playoff spot.

Werenski big time clutch player, seemed like he never came off the ice, has to be the favorite for the Norris.. Fantilli going to be a star.

I wonder what Jarmo has planned for the near future.
Probably not very much for the Blue Jackets considering that he got fired by the team about a year ago.

I get it, believe me, but as fans we have nothing really at stake here. I am no way defending Sweeneely, just that I understand why they are not in a hurry to pull the trigger one way or the other. I think the worst thing they can do is be a buyer and try to squeak into the playoffs because they are just robbing Peter to Pay Paul at that point and what they are robbing from Peter they can ill afford to lose. But, I get the hesitation on 'crossing the Rubicon' as @smithformeragent so aptly stated it.
