Man their going to lose 4 in a row. Anyone thinks the hurricanes take out the Panthers? Or will it be Dallas?

There's zero reason to believe Florida-Carolina part two would be any different than part one. I guess at least Carolina beat a legit team in the playoffs than some schmuck team like the Devils or the Islanders.

Man, some of the people on here proposing the idea of trading Vasy don't watch Stuart Skinner Connor Hellebuyck enough. It'll make you want Vasy here until he's 75.

All jokes aside, all these dudes suck.

Unless the Leafs turn it around, Marner and Tavares should both be out there. Tavares has said he wants to retire a Leaf, but wow this is looking rough.
Lol. I want nothing to do with either of them. We dont need another ghost come playoffs. I actually feel bad for Nylander. The only forward who gave a f*** for Toronto. The rest are one dimensional p***yes.

Agreed. I just mean, if those two are out there, the market might get nuts. I'd kick the tires on JT, but he'd have to take a huge cut, and he had too good a reg season for that. Want no part of Marner.

Honestly though, the Panthers are just this good. They shut down top players. Did it to Kucherov.

It’s actually impressive how Florida shut down opposing star players with such consistency and apparent ease.

The loss of Stolarz sure didn’t help Toronto either.

I would love JT guy is like number one in faceoffs that would help this team tremendously with puck control and what not. Has to be reasonable amount not an arm and leg worth.

Somebody posted a stat the other day that showed that there is no correlation between faceoff wins and team success - contrary to popular belief. I was surprised too. Let’s see if I can find it.

Edit: It’s easy to look up the basic data. Here are this year’s top-12 FO teams, half of them missed the playoffs. And only three are still in the playoffs right now. Same picture in the playoffs btw: Only two of the top-8 FO teams are still playing.

It doesn't hurt though, 4 of those teams are in the final 8. Makes a huge difference how much offensive talent you have as well, Leafs winning an offensive zone draw vs the Islanders winning more isn't the same. I remember those crucial defensive draws we'd lose against the Leafs and they would just get extra zone time to set up, for Tampa who has the talent to capitalize in late game draws it would make a difference not having to try and re-enter the zone again.

Litereally this because they win set up a defender with a point shot and goalie is screened usually ends up as a goal. Or who knows can be a clean win to kuch for top side shor just never know you know.
