2024 2025 Injury Thread Hf’s Longest Thread Just Got Longer

I assure you that like anyone that is as competitive as he is, he gives a f*** about these. That's why it's very surprising.

Based on many interviews that he has given during his career i would say that MacK values winning Cup way more than some regular season individual trophies.

Henchy texted me and told me that he cannot post on this forum anymore because he is now part of Colorado Avs organization to some capacity. Scout or analytic department, who knows. Good for him.

Henchy texted me to text @RoyIsALegend that he's eating too much ass. I didn't do it though because there's always more ass to eat in the world.

I don't think Mack GOSF about the Art Ross or the Hart. If he did, he'd have been pushing for points a lot more lately. I think he wanted Cale to get 30 goals a lot more. He wants to win one trophy only, the Stanley Cup.

I think he wants to win it. He's not overly exerting himself, but he's looked like he wants to put up points to me.

I thought he played like he wanted to win the Hart too.

Bedsy also said that it's up to Nate. Said if he wants it, he'll help him win it, but if he doesn't he'll let him rest. He's still playing him a lot, just giving him practice days off to rest and lift, which has been his routine the last few years down the stretch.

I think Nate's just trying to find the right balance this year to chase the Art Ross while saving his physically and mental energy for the playoffs.

I have a sneaking feeling that Kucherov, like Ovi, may be trying to please someone back home by chasing individual achievements this year to put their stamp on the league. They've been extremely motivated.

Good for Nate if he’s gonna sit the last 3 games. Playoffs are far more important than Art Ross trophy. He’ll have more chances of winning the Art Ross in the next few years
No , he really won't sadly.

Last year was his peak, he played all 82 games and he was locked in. He still couldn't get it, which is totally fine. But I wouldn't expect 140 pts again. It sucks he couldn't double down with a Hart and AR but it is what it is.

This year was another perfect storm, mcdavid was having a down year, drai went down with injury, Kuch also missed 4 games. This was his shot.

What are the chances he plays 82 games, Mcdavid and everyone else has a down year? I'd say less than 1 percent. He's also turning 30.

Basically, if mack couldn't win an AR playing all 82 games in a perfect storm at age 28/29, what are the chances he wins one in his 30s? It's not happening. Happy with the Hart and TL, but it's a bit of a shame he won't win a Ross.

On to the Conn smythe though, that's the biggest individual honor a player can win especially if it coincides with a cup. Makar has in, now it's nates turn

I was too busy eating ass last night to pay attention to hockey. Only just now saw the results from last night and noticed no MacKinnon.
Obviously sucks to see him basically lose the Ross, but I'd rather watch him deep in the postseason than attaining a compiler trophy.
Hopefully, that's the bargain.

That said....
Much like Makar getting his first Norris, it's always nice to get these things in the here and now. Makar is set to win another, as he should, but you never know. MacKinnon was looking like he'd never get the Hart and 2018 looked grim, what with the dominance of McDavid and all.
Ah well. We've always got 2003 Forsberg absolutely destroying his pal Naslund on the last day of the regular season.

Rest as many of the key guys as you can the last two games, get the depth guys some reps against LA and Anaheim.

Avs finally get some scheduling help with their slightly early end to the season here. Take advantage of it and give the guys who need it a break.

Rust be damned in game one. Landy will be back (probably) and the emotional energy from that should wake everyone up.

After the trade deadline, Avs became a much deeper team so Nate didn’t have to carry us anymore, compared to Draisaitl, McDavid and Kucherov. I’m not exactly sure what Nate’s numbers are pre trade deadline and post deadline, but I’m pretty sure he was scoring more pre deadline

Tampa and Edmonton aren’t as deep and they have to be carried by those players on nightly basis. I’ll take a deep team instead of relying on Nate to win us every game even if it means Nate doesn’t win the Hart or Art Ross.
