Surely Girard knows.Does anyone even know if Girard is with the team?
Group chat typo, we told him we’re playing in St. Lucia.Does anyone even know if Girard is with the team?
That's not new but that's still disgusting.None of our media went on the road trip. None
It's to distract from Mackinnons attemps to rarely shoot and always pass first from a player who scored over 50 goals last year.Everything has to be so much drama with this organization. Hyping injury updates now? Lame AF.
And right now we have the basic cable subscription. You need to pay extra for updates on each player.Injury reports are now like TV shows with this team. It literally has a schedule. Maybe they should start shooting a documentary about all the injuries the Avs have had and continue having.
Every single injury has its own documentary with a dramatic twist to it. They can call it Keeping Up With The Ambulanche
Truly, we have jumped the shark on this one haven't we? In the past, we allowed the illusion of transparency by letting a gaggle of amateur reports be credentialed and follow the team - despite never giving them actual information to legitimize themselves. Now we've just said f*** it, state media or nothing. This is very simple.
None of our media went on the road trip. None. Only AltitudeTV(Moser, Rycroft, etc.) and that's owned by the team.
Rycroft was the only guy there to ask Bednar anything after morning skate today(which we don't get a report/pictures from because, again, no media went on the trip).
So, since AltitudeTV were the only ones there to talk to Bednar, the Avs essentially control when the information comes out. They are keeping that for the pre-game show.
I agree with this. As a fan it sucks, especially when it’s players such as Girard or nuke, who have had to leave for other reasons in the past. It leads to speculation and worry in a fanbase, but again, it’s within their rights to hold info as frustrating as it is.Truly, we have jumped the shark on this one haven't we? On some level, if I'm being honest, it doesn't even bother me that much. I don't really need to know every little detail about everything. However, it's very much not how any other organization in the league, or frankly any sport that I can think of, operates. It's kind of bizarre lol
Girard is alive!
Yes, but the fact that he wasn't ever listed on the injury report, was never mentioned by the team's media or the head coach before or after the last few games, when they did discuss other injuries, and his previous stint on the PAP lead to rampant speculation. They could have just said he was dealing with an injury, and that would have been enough, but instead, they said nothing.Doesnt working with Peterson give more credence to an injury rather than other possibilities?

I feel like this hopefully is the case.. Take it slow and get them back healthy as possibleI hope they’re just being careful and taking their time with all this injured players and they’ll all be ready to start the playoffs
We don’t need any of them for this last 4 games of the season. We do need them in the 1st round of the playoffs
I'd rather play either the Golden Showers and Whiny Jets than the Stars. You know Mikko will get 9 goals in a 5 game series.Yup. Occam's Hockey Razor - the simplest explanation is the right one. While the Avs aren't exactly mailing it in recently . . . they're not exactly delivering like FedEx either. There's not much - if any - marginal return in playing to win down the stretch. Worst come to worst . . . we play Vegas or Winnipeg in Round 1 instead of Dallas. The West is gonna be a dogfight whether they win or lose over the next few days.
Just don't get injured. And heal the guys that are already hurt.
