2024 2025 Injury Thread Hf’s Longest Thread Just Got Longer

It looks like nothing but his leg reacts weirdly after the hit. Would have liked to see a video of him skating towards the bench.
I mean, Pang says he played the rest of the period, so it couldn't be THAT bad, right?. RIGHT?!?!

Perhaps it was just a nasty Charlie horse that got worse during the intermission, and they just shut him down for the rest of the night? Those can linger for a few days or longer, so I wouldn't be surprised if he missed the next couple of games. Doubt we get an honest answer from Bednar as to what it is/was.

Never mind Drouin, I was more concerned that Necas came back as quickly as he did.

We have to hope Necas and Drouin are ready for the first game of the playoffs.

This is bad.
Maybe Dru but Necas finished the game and even scored the tying goal. He even did a shimmy after he scored lol.

Probably his neck is sore and they don't really care about these games anyways so they are giving him a rest.

Not sure what to think on that Drouin play.

On one hand, we've seen quite a few plays along the boards exactly like that that blew out a knee.

On the other hand he played 4 shifts I think after that, and was skating just fine, including doing a full 360 in stride to pick up a pass off the boards.

Hopefully they're just being extra cautious, or at worst, it's a mild sprain that can heel in a couple weeks.

We won’t really know how much these guys are hurt because these games don’t matter. So being cautious with guys who are more sore or minor they can do with worthless games.

We’ve had players finish games and then miss tons of time. Drouin is an example. Manson another. Girard another.

When it comes to the Avs, I’m not holding my breath. These guys could all be done.

Neck injuries like Necas got can be painful af. Looked like a strain of some sort.

I was impressed he came back so quick. He was rolling on the ice in pain. Not sure he missed a shift after leaving the bench. I don't know if that numbing spray can do much for that and it wears off anyway.

Scored a big GTG too. I think that may bode well for his ability to fight through adversity in the playoffs.

Usually the next day your neck is like frankenstein stiff though. Won't be surprised if he sits this one out.
