Avs seriously need to address the RD behind Makar this off-season. Manson's a bandaid, dude's only played in 151 of the last 231 games cause of injury since signing that 4 year extension after the cup. Throw money at Pionk/Ekblad should be priority #1 this off-season.

Is fixing the injury issue at RD with Ekblad really a solution though?

Malinski hasn't looked good away from Girard this year, but giving Lindgren fewer minutes is probably not smart either. The rotation on the right side is going to be ugly if Mason is out for a while.

Finding a new second pairing RD is as tough and expensive as finding a new 2C. There's no decent upcoming UFA RD option either (unless you want to replace Manson with Cody Ceci or the corpse of Jeff Petry/Brent Burns/David Savard).

Well, he did take over center responsibilities in the defensive zone for MacK his first few years playing there. So.... Kinda.

That'd be insane... He was never a full time C when he was healthy. Expecting him to be able to play C, nonetheless 2C after not playing hockey for 3 years would be a suicide mission.
