Last thing you want is for an important guy to come back too soon in a regular season.

except even less so, do you want to send a guy trying to stay clean back into the regular season to play through any pain that is avoidable

The season is truly cursed. I would punt it, sell off every pending UFA to the highest bidder and go at it next season.

Anybody seriously believe we'll ever be healthy? Guys play banged up around the league all the time but this team has to have anywhere from 2-5 extremely important pieces out entirely at a time all season.

You know we are going to buy buy buy.

We're so fortunate that many posters here are more experienced and knowledgable than the Avs training staff.

Remember the Price is Right and how someone would just bet $1 if they felt everyone else overbid? Well it’s the opposite here. What ever the projected prognosis for recovery is, people know they can win that washer and dryer by simply guessing one day longer than the Avs medical staff. 😬😅

We say this every year.

I'm late but what a f***ing joke.

Sooooo, 7-10 days turns into what, 4-6 Weeks? Well, we shouldn't be surprised. Stuff like that seem to happen ALL THE DAMN TIME. And ppl are wondering why we are so down on our medical staff ...
Yes. I know a lot of people here only follow the Avs but I can tell you that it's not like that with other teams. Players on other teams get injured and occasinally have setbacks too but it's nowhere near what the Avs have to endure year after year.

We're way past the "it's only badluck" phase.

Mose said their TV crew went back and they found where Nuke was injured. Said it was essentially a pivot and then a push with his leg, and then he was injured.

Its likely a groin which can be unpredictable in terms of recovery

When he went off, I went back and watched the replay several times, and right away I suspected it looked a lot like a groin tweak. I had a recurring groin injury in high school FB long, long time ago, and it was frustrating. But I was a young dumb kid, and I figured with professional staff now days they'd know how to bring him along better, and give proper physical therapy to lessen chances of re-aggravating.
