I mean Drouins been a bandaid his whole career. He's talented and been awesome since he's joined, but I don't believe he should be counted on as an integral piece going forwards imo.

Selfishly, good for the Avs. Also, not like has made nothing previously in his career. But a real shame for him.

But if things continue to trend like this, another one year deal on a low AAV isn't totally out of the question. Highly unlikely with the Avs though, unless Rantanen is walking or does some miracle discount.

Shut him down until the playoffs. LTIR his 2.5, which gets them really close to being able to bring Landy back in March.

That skating definately says they are gunning for the playoffs with him. If someone doesnt injure himself before(to LTIR) or Val slips. Sending depth out for him plus Val is a risk we end up with both out before real season starts.

Then they can solve the money offseason or put Gabe back to the self.
