I'm telling you it's gotta be some sort of core muscle injury.

It's not a concussion, he wouldn't be skating so much with a concussion. Something being broken would have a definite timeline for return the way Colton's broken foot had.

I'm thinking Drouin is going to be hurt the entire season and it likely costs him a fair bit of money next offseason. There's no way he gets healthy after having a mysterious injury since game 1 that nobody even knows about other than the Avs.

He’s moving better than 75% of the guys we are dressing every game.

Get him in the f***ing lineup.

It's a UBI, and we have no idea what it is. It could be a dozen different things. The fact that he took that big shot, on his shoulder in game 1 tells me it's something up around that area that just is taking forever to heal.

I mean, for instance, I strained peck and neck muscles in mid-August, and it's still bothering me 4 months later. Now, I'm 50, and not a professional athlete in the best condition of my life, but I've been doing PT weekly, and it doesn't take much to set it off again. One wrong twist, one lift the wrong way, etc. and it starts hurting again. The only thing that helps is doing absolutely nothing, which isn't plausible. I'm not saying this is what's happening with JD, but it would make sense that whatever it is, is a nagging thing that just won't go away in a timely manner.
