I'm glad JD is back... but do we know for sure what it was that had him out?

I'm only worried as far as that when everything is radio silence I get worried we are talking about a concussions. Any time a concussion is at play, there is (and should be) a completely different level of examinations taking place. I'd love to see it taken out of the teams' hands eventually get to a point where the healthcare is managed by the league rather than the teams, ensuring a solid minimum base level. But then again, this a league where the comissionor still refuses to state there is a link between repeated head trauma and devestating life consequences.

As for JD, again I'm sure I am alone in this...but I'd like to see him play with Mitts.

Nuke/Lehky-MacK-Rants
JD-Mitts-Lehky/Nuke

Mitts seems to be doubting himself at every turn, why not give him a play maker to help lessen the burden for a spell. Especially since JD is one of our most intelligent players. He might be one of the few that can really read Mitts and his crazy passes.

Watch the clip of him talking today.

He said he took a hit that re-aggravated the same injury he had before.

Shoulder.

I love JD. I'm not buying that though.

The way he ramped up and the video that was shown showed he was already ready. They delayed him coming back. I'm sure there will be people saying they didn't wait long enough... but to me, I'm not certain and I certainly don't trust him being back as being a long term fix for anything.

JD is quickly becoming a player we should not count on. Although, that shoudl also make him much cheaper to retain going forward.

So with Manson coming back last game and Drouin coming back tonight - how many actual days has it been since Bednar said "the reinforcements are not coming"?

Like 9-10 days??

I get that a team (especially the Avs) will never be healthy but why do our injuries always have to be weeks-long? So frustrating!!!!!

Supposedly it’s because the Avs always take as much time as needed with injuries (perhaps more than other teams) to make sure players are completely and 100% healthy before coming back, but then again why did Drouin come back and got hurt again right away with the same injury?
