Maybe a bad idea to open the floor to speculation, but I wonder if some of our more medically knowledgeable members can hypothesize the injury to Holloway tonight?

Just speculation, not worth any more than anyone else’s. I thought the puck hit him to the side of his trachea, worried me that the carotid artery could be dissecting. But it was wise to keep him under observation to be sure his airway wasn’t compromised, which could turn into a sudden life threatening emergency if his trachea swelled. I couldn’t tell what symptoms he was having, but it looked asymmetrical, so I worried about the brain’s blood supply. Early details sound like this was mostly precautionary, from what I’ve seen.

I think you're spot on.

the first time it happens to you, a vasovagal response is terrifying

I get it from puking every time I have a stomach virus

Great news that he looks to be alright. Love his attitude. Made me laugh at the end of the interview when he said We're good at locking it down so I knew we had it. Regardless of where he ends up settling in terms of position long term love the charisma that he and Neighbors have. It can be infectious which is a really good thing and a welcomed addition

Love this kid's attitude, not only about the incident but in general. Seems like a happy, positive guy. Glad he's ok!

Yeah I had the same reaction. Him and Neighbours are just happy go lucky guys and you can't have too many of those guys around.

The comment about the Blues being good at shutting it down hasn't been true the last few years but they've really improved a lot in that area so far this year, that's for sure.

Great news that Holloway is back to normal, and will likely play tomorrow. The doctor recommended no hard exercise today, so he just rode his stationary bike. But the doctor said that after that he should just go back to his normal activity. So, I'll be surprised if he doesn't play.

That’s brutal
I have learned to recognize the symptoms and I lay down on the floor until it passes (much better than dropping like a rock trying to make it back to bed)

and on, the bright side, I am at least closer if I have puke again
