Some interesting names I would be looking at from Nashville.

ROR
Fabbro
Lauzon

ROR would be the such a good addition to the top 6 and he's under a steal of a contract too
Would be interested in Tomasino. He hasn't fit in Brunette's offense and there's a ton of talent there. Just not sure Cooper would be interested in developing him further and give him the right opportunity.

ROR probably turns us into a legit contender.

We might be able to shut down entire top-sixes. Or pair him and Cirelli to kill a big line.
might be able to fix the PK too and be our faceoff guy in the top 6 so we stop putting Glendening out in key situations

If they are looking to rebuild it would make sense for them to get rid of the older players and put players like Tomasino and Evangelista in bigger roles. Its hard to tell what they are going to do with guys like Marchessault, Stammer and Josi who all would be too old for a rebuild but Marchy and Stammer just got there, maybe they wait a year or two and then retain cap if things remain bad

I don't know how we make the money work at 50% I think we'd have to do something like get rid of Paul

It might be close at the deadline with the accrued cap space we have. Then next year the cap increase pays for it.

What I’m not sure about is if it’s illegal to acquire a player at 50% less than a year after letting them walk.

Probably all a moot point as I don’t see Nashville ever retaining for 4 years.

ROR is ideal
Fabbro sucks
Lauzon indifference

No chance we pull someone like Tommasino out of Nashville.
We need to do something about that 3rd D pair and Lauzon can hit and is okay defensively, people have been asking for grit in the lineup so he would fill both those roles. I think Fabbro would be fine in a 3rd pair role

Kucherov has been mostly great. Guentzel has been solid. Moser has been awesome.

After that, it's been a mix of inconsistent, disappointing/underwhelming, or nothing positive from everyone else IMHO.

Except Cirelli, Hagel, Geekie, Paul and Hedman have also been much more good than bad. The McD-Cernak pairing has had some early struggles, and the injuries to Cernak haven't helped, but they should only get better as they get more games together. The 3rd defensive pairing likely needs an add or the defensive pairings need to be blended, and a middle 6 F needs to be added. The team isn't winning or losing because of the 4th line's struggles offensively, so if they can add one RW to provide 3 solid lines, they should be fine there.
