I'm not a sports bar guy, do they generally have internet streams? Most major games were available with only a cable subscription, but with leagues moving some games to online only, I guess bars would have to adapt.

If they do, then they've got a lot of explaining to do why Crunch and Solar Bears games aren't on in every bar in America.
ESPN+ is more than just an internet stream, any halfway decent sports bar will have it. They probably could also stream the Crunch feed if they wanted to since they have smart TVs but probably not worth the hassle.

So, the Bolts have gone 3 games carrying 12 forwards since Sheary was demoted, nothing wrong with that. Now they're going on a 4-game road trip and surely someone is coming up.

Who's it gonna be?

Feels good to finally have a 2nd line with Geeks on there.

Atkinson needs to swap with Easy. Atkinson is more suited for a skilled role and Easys game will fit better with the G’s on the 4th line.

i think it goes without saying that on top of Mac Truck being back, Moser has been a breath of fresh air as well on the back end. He leads the team in +/- and is 4th in the league, averages 21 minutes a night, has 6 points in 9 games (granted its 2 3-point nights), and all around has shut down some of the top lines of teams consistently. i really hope he is signed for a longer term once he is eligible on July 1st. A 6-8 year deal around 5.5-6.5m is 100% worth it if he can keep playing like he is now

He's a RFA at the end of this deal, so you're basically looking at a Hagel situation where he has a chance to lock up his future at minimum two years in advance, and in return for that kind of job security we get a discount.

Our defense is just night and day from last year.

I'm not worried about the special teams . I think the focus has been getting our 5v5 game back on track, considering how bad it was last year. That has happened. There is too much talent here not to get the special teams back to where they were. There's no reason the PK won't be even better than last year.

Someone tell me I'm nuts. I don't think Stamkos has played his last game for us. Idk. Maybe McDonagh was a singular incident. I'm just imagining a world in like 2 years where Nashville says what they're doing isn't working, cap space has gone up and they're okay with retaining. Maybe this really does go down like Lecavalier and St. Louis did

Like you said, would definitely need to be in the future, they've committed a ton of money into winning now and it'll take time for them to re-steer that ship now that it's sailed.

I mean.... one of the harsher possibilities is, with the way Stamkos is playing, he might not want to keep going 3 years from now.

My prediction is Nashville buys him out next year. Then we either sign him super cheap to play for a year or we sign him to retire a Bolt.

I know he picked up two assists last night. But to me it doesn't look like he has much left in the tank.

If Nashville doesn’t start winning i could see trotz blowing the team up and full rebuild but not after just 1 year .

Id say it’s unlikely Stamkos ever plays for the lightning again but id never would say it’s impossible always a chance it could happen.

Chaffee is such an odd case: shit production as a presumably bottom 6 junior player in the USHL, then pops off for a good 19 year old freshman season at UMass with Makar, Leonard, Ferraro, another really good 2 years for the Minutemen, signs with Minnesota, solid year in Iowa, then tears his ACL, signs in Tampa, gets called up and is decent, and now producing well for his role and age/inexperience for the Lightning.

If he gets bought out I highly doubt he comes back here, especially for cheap with how it ended. I'd say there's a higher chance he signs a cheap deal for someone like Vegas.

Honestly i think this could go so bad that we might be the only team willing to take him. I know he has hit a couple of posts in Nashville, but the times I've checked in he looks like all the worst parts of what we saw toward the end.

I'm starting to wonder the the $4m rumor was true but JBB still knew something the numbers were covering up.

I have my doubts he sign with us with this GM, in business anything can happen but not see that happening for now.
