ROR is exactly the type of player this team sorely lacks. Probably a pipe dream though same with somebody like Tuch.
I'd take Jeannot over half the 3rd or 4th liners
I'd prefer we go for the younger version of ROR. He's 34 and still very productive, but for how long?ROR is exactly the type of player this team sorely lacks. Probably a pipe dream though same with somebody like Tuch.
he's under contract until 27/28. I could see him having a Giroux type of arc where he plays well until like 37. Seems like players are falling off later in their careers, late 30's. Also I don't think a younger version of ROR exists, or at least one thats availableI'd prefer we go for the younger version of ROR. He's 34 and still very productive, but for how long?
Signing him as a free agent would be another issue.
Exactly what the team needs. More Top 6/Top line scoring. Not like the team will end up with 6 20 goal scorers, possibly 4 40 goal scorers.a pipe dream and a costly one at that would be getting Marchenko from CBJ. it would be the equivalent of the Hagel package at the time
ROR scares me, feel like he could fall off of a cliff soon and it'd become an anchor.
An UFA target we should pursue, if he makes it to UFA, is Ehlers. Great player.

1 assist in his last 20 games; the guy is AHL/ECHL caliberI'd take Jeannot over half the 3rd or 4th liners
Yeah, it remains the one truly bad trade from JBB. It's amazing he was able to recoup a 2nd and a 4th for him last offseason.1 assist in his last 20 games; the guy is AHL/ECHL caliber
That was a major scouting errorI honestly don't know what crack our front office was smoking when we traded all that we did for Jeannot. Dude scored like 10 deflections, 6 double doink deflections, 6 tap ins and 2 regular goals that were wrist shots or slap shots
I don't know if it was even the goals anymore. I think they saw "oMg SuCh HeAvY gAmE!!" and completely derped.Idk, the idea of Marchand kinda gets me excited lol
That was a major scouting error
Actually this is fine, the problem is he stopped going to the net for those deflections and doinks. That's not fine, he literally turned into a perimeter player despite not having the talent/ability for it.I honestly don't know what crack our front office was smoking when we traded all that we did for Jeannot. He fits into that category for me of being decent but not worth major assetsReading some rumours that seem crazy to me about Marchand... He would be a crazy good add for contending
Well, more points than our stupid and boring #28 and with lot less of chances, at least hits and patrol his teammates.1 assist in his last 20 games; the guy is AHL/ECHL caliber
Marchenko is untouchable, that guy is a special player and has the personality to go along with it. I could see him being one of the premier goalscorers in the league for years to come. Absolute gem for CBJ. I know there have been some unlikely names mentioned but in this case, there is not a chance. I wish.Marchenko-Point-Kucherov
Hagel-Cirelli-Guentzel
I’d give two 1sts, two 2nds, and Geekie for Marchenko
His contract is amazing, we could then easily fill the bottom 6 with decent guys, just don’t suck for a couple more years

We don't have anything for that, we are too soft, like the Yzerwoman era!
Hey, at least Zemgus managed to score in 2025.Well, more points than our stupid and boring #28 and with lot less of chances, at least hits and patrol his teammates.

I'm not talking about what he cost. I write before, one of the worst trades in our history, that's not my point and if you talk about money with Sheary and Girgensons have the same salary in nothing, two traffic cones. Glad you enjoy your #28 taking assists only when he was moved to the second line, Jeannot still have more points than him in a defensive team. Hope don't read here people crying for not have a player to defend his teammates in playoffs, I remember some blaming Watson, he was more cheap than the Latvian and also get more points with lot of less minutes of ice time."lot less of chances" lol you mean starting on the 2nd line and playing yourself down to 4th line minutes like Jeannot did in LA? He costs 3x as much and Girgensons still has more points in the last 20
"Patrolling" so well they keep cutting his ice time!
