Time for Lilleberg to put his big boy pants back on and get back to playing with an edge. He hasn't even looked someone in the eye in weeks, let alone throw a hit. We're going to need someone to keep opponents honest, and he is capable of that when he turns it on.

Agreed, to me he turned it off after the suspension. But he can't think like that, he should bring back his physical game. That's what they want from him.

And he didn't look interested when Olivier wanted a piece of him, lost his helmet though.
Maybe tomorrow...Lilleberg vs Kastelic, round 2.

Just being a presence out there again is all I ask. It started before the suspension, and that hit on Compher was basically the first time in awhile he had stepped up on someone, so it probably deterred him even further. After the Kastelic incident, he hasn't been the same. Not throwing the body, not engaging or even looking in the direction of people in scrums...I think between the Boston saga and the suspension, it was a case of getting a bit more smoke than he wanted. It's tough to ask a rookie to embrace that, but he has to get a little meaner out there and keep guys heads on a swivel.

Don't need him fighting the big boys because he will absolutely get hurt, but just get back to playing a physical game.

I can't not share this twice because it's too funny not to.

Today if you play physical has to answer the bell, maybe he don't want to that anymore or coaching staff ask to stop. He change a lot his mind, was good when in his first games trying to hit anything and now looks like he's Perbix afraid from any kind of confrontation. Also, not good for him don't having a player to protect him like happens with other teams. Hagel, Gourde and Cernak could drop the gloves but they are not good in the fighting department and not ready to go against tough guys.

Based on Shawn Horcoff's 2016 suspension, Ekblad would be unable to practice with the team for some length of time. Horcoff couldn't practice until there were 10 days left on his suspension.

2024 cup has an asterisk now. Probably a doping culture in that locker room.
Oh for sure. Are we thinking he's the only cheater there? It's obvious why Matthew Tkachuk sucks his mouth guard all night. It's to drink the PEDs during his shift. And Bennett? Definitely stashed in the mustache.

That cup is forever tainted because they cheated and tarred the good name of hockey.

Make that a thread on the main and you'll become the president of this forum
It should be made by someone that's not an obvious Lightning fan, otherwise everyone can tell it's satire. If anyone has any contacts from the Leafs forum or wherever, we need you.

Don’t all SC champions from the 6 team era also have asterisks? If not, they should.
The pre-draft era wasn't balanced, so Montreal definitely should.

Quebec had a multi-generational blessing of great hockey players within what was essentially its own francophone culture.

I'm certain you can cultivate a few candidates from here and it wouldn't be obvious. Just being honest
