2024-2025 Blues Multi-Purpose Thread.

Dvorsky not among the Black Aces. Alexandrov, Schueneman, and Ellis. I’m not sure what to make of this, but I can’t really say that I disagree.
I dont' think there was any chance that playing Dvorsky was every going to be the best option as in injury replacement. I guess they aren't giving out token spots for his 'education' then. He'll have next year's AHL season to force his way up into the NHL.

I would be pretty shocked if we see Holloway again barring a long run here but would love to be wrong. I could have missed something but only thing I've seen was that Monty said he was doing some light stick work on his own prior to the Blues heading out on their last road trip of the regular season. It has been pretty hush hush other than that with a lot of conflicting speculation out there, but hope I'm wrong and he is closer to a potential return, I just feel like if he was actually skating even on his own we likely would have heard about it.
Yeah, I mean, I’m sure JR, DeFranks, Korac etc aren’t camped out at Centrene at all hours and it’s possible Holloway has gotten in a skate or two they don’t know about but it seems likely that’d be something that’d get out. Someone would see it. My gut tells me he’s not close. Perhaps not completely ruled out if they can make it far but not close.

I think the winning streak and fighting for the playoffs until the final game took a lot out of the Blues physically and mentally and it showed in game 1 and 2. They seem more refreshed now.
Our schedule was intense after 4 Nations. We were playing every other night for weeks it felt like. Funny that we're getting more days off so far in the playoffs than we did down the stretch.

True. But just about every team had a condensed schedule down the stretch. And the Blues had the easiest schedule in the entire league after the 4 Nations (lowest opponent average winning %).

it's not all about ease of opponents but stress and mental fatigue as well. We had to play damn near flawlessly for 30 or so game to make the playoffs and that carries a heavy burden.

Now that I’ll agree with. With all of the excitement of actually pulling it off and making the playoffs I think how insane it was that it took 96 pts and still a tiebreaker just to get the last playoff spot has been lost a bit.

For that reason I think the unusually long breaks in this series has been beneficial for the Blues. They looked a little fatigued at the start of the series, understandably so.

I’ve been really impressed with Snuggs. I think we have a good one with him. Bolduc needs to pick up his offense in game 6 badly. He’s playing decent, just need more scoring chances by him. I do like his physicality he brings. He hits and backchecks. That’s important imo.

Dude he's playing on the 3rd line with Sunny

I have been clamoring for Bolduc to get a promotion to the second line, he has looked good but more often than not he has nowhere to go because he is getting literally zero help from his linemates. I would like to see him with Schenn and Kyrou.

I was thinking the same thing. Moving Bolduc up to have a second line of Bolduc-Schenn-Kyrou and Neighbours down to have a third line of Neighbours-Sundqvist-Texier makes a lot of sense to me. I'd actually rather have Texier with Schenn and Kyrou than Neighbours at this point.
