He will be 29 on July 1, but Sam Bennett looks like a guy that could bring to our team what ROR did in the Cup season. Probably not going to like the contract he’s going to sign, though.

Yeah I’d love him but there’s going to be a major bidding war if he walks from Florida. He is a hell of a player that everyone will want. I can’t see us bidding high enough.

That's weird that Cooper kept starting Binnington every game. Didn't anyone tell him what his GSAx was?
Coop and Binner had a really cool moment together during the celebration that they showed on TV.

I like Cooper a lot. Just hearing him talk to the media, and obviously the success he’s had, he seems like a coach that would be awesome to play for. Cool dude.

Hope the team gives Binnington and Parayko a couple of games to rest up while the rest of the team knocks the rust off.

Binny will almost certainly get some down time; hopefully 55 does too.

No way they start Binnington on Saturday especially with the Jets going with Comrie in that game. I think he'll be back for Sunday's game though. Parayko is a workhorse. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play both but with a lighter workload than usual.

Great to see that from Kyrou, but damn what an acquisition Holloway has been. Definitely has the makings of a future leader of the upcoming group.

I can't figure out why Oilers let him walk. They could have afforded his $. Broberg I get them not matching (and am thrilled we got), but letting Holloway go at his $ makes no sense.

That is great Holloway is a keeper for sure. Now hopefully we can find a proper home to move Kyrou to.

As my kids say, they were "butthurt."

They let emotion cloud their judgment. It's never good when that happens.
They wanted to keep cap flexibility for moves later on. I don't think anyone projected Holloway to be as great as he has been so early into his time here. Good for us, but makes their gambit look even worse. They made a calculation and chose the worse option. It happens, but they won't get any empathy from me over it. We all know and established that this situation for EDM was self-inflicted.
