Buchnevich and a 3rd for Miller?
Who?Was on the ice skating this morning
Not signing Buch was a mustCall me crazy but trading Buchnevich is a must.
Not signing Buch was a must
I know Army said something to the effect that the offers for Buch were underwhelming, but I doubt that. The returns may have been not what he desired, but I doubt they were garbage. Chafes my ass that he's still a Blue. Not signing Buch was a must
I'm OK with this pairing and I think it'll give Broberg more freedom to get involved offensively. Faulk was never a plus defender even when he was healthy and the guy has lost so much mobility over the last two years. I think Suter is a better partner right now for Broberg if we want to maximize his two-way ability.Suter - Broberg have a 64.8 xG% with 4 goals for and 2 against in about 60 minutes together. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from them together too, especially in the OZ. Broberg has been active and Suter has found opportunities to sneak down and get a dangerous shot. Think he’s hit a post or two.
One big game and they can get there this yearIf Holloway and Kyrou can keep their chemistry into next year they will both be PPG+ players next season.
Him and Faksa are definitely our most tradeable assets.I don't expect a Suter trade, but he's certainly improve his value for a contender IMO. He's proven he's still a valuable member for a good team, can be a 3rd pair PK specialist that has the ability to play on 2nd pair if needed.
If we do want to recover assets to have more tradable assets for future seasons, it would make sense to try and move him.
If we wanted to get aggressive, Fowler would return a haul. Obviously makes more sense to keep him than the others, but if there is an idea to load up on assets to flip in the summer for other targets, I can see where they'd do it. Keeping Fowler and hoping he maintains the play next season is probably the plan though.Him and Faksa are definitely our most tradeable assets.
It's possible yes. But there's only 33 games left and Kyrou is 7 points under and Holloway is 12 points under. Kyrou would have to put up 40 points and Holloway would have to put up 45 in the last 33 games. One big game and they can get there this year
Holly chances are close to zero, but I can see Kyrou on a heater getting 40 points in 33 gamesIt's possible yes. I'd bet that Fowler would be pretty aggressive with his NTC. He's going to be a 34 year old UFA in the summer of 2026 and I'd wager he intends to sign another NHL contract and keep playing. It is very much in his best interest to continue looking good and he has found a fit where he can do that. He's playing (and excelling) in top pair minutes here. I doubt there are any contenders who would give him that role. He has every reason to try and stay here through next season to either get an extension or maximize what he can get as a UFA in 2026.If we wanted to get aggressive, Fowler would return a haul. Suppose it's up to him if he'd value moving to a contender now or putting himself in the best situation for his next contract. I do think both Fowler and Blues will want to keep him here for at least the remainder of his current deal. Even if we sell at this deadline, I don't see Army wanting to sell pieces that would be big contributors for next year. If I were him, I'd tell my agent to find the 4 teams least likely/able to pay a haul for him and make that my trade list.
I wish I had a better grasp of how bonuses are calculated against the cap in the event a player is traded.I don't expect a Suter trade, but he's certainly improve his value for a contender IMO.
