Who knows , lots of guys get AHL/ECHL 2-ways with the allure of playing in the AHL and are buried in the Coast and never get up, I think their are more guys than one would think , not many guys stay 5 years so even a guy who plays until 23 has 4 years of eligibility or guys who were already working on degrees online etc could come and play 3. I could be wrong but I think quite a few guys fall into these categories, it’s how many actually want to play CIS hockey.Realistically, is this change going to have THAT much of an impact? Or will we just see the same handful of guys who used to come at Christmas come over the summer instead? I'm sure there are a few every year who opted to stay in pro after Christmas who wished they went university instead, but at the end of the day, what are we talking about? Less than 10 players maybe? Or am I severely underestimating this change?
